Hope's POV

"You need to get out of my car at some point tonight, Hope." Carli looked at me, obviously trying not to get annoyed at how childish I was being. I sighed.
"I'm going." I said, definitely not convincing as I didn't move from my seat. Carli sighed deeply now, suddenly leaning over me to open my door from the passengers side.
"Get out." She wasn't being all that pleasant any longer, probably had it with me wasting time. I was dreading going inside.
"I drove Tobin earlier tonight, she was gonna meet up with Alex and Kelley. They're all here." Carli informed, knowing Kelley was the reason I didn't want to enter.
"Now man up and go have fun." She smiled a little, giving me a push in the arm.
"Fine. I'm going." I said, actually moving this time. "But I won't have fun. It'll be torture." I mumbled grumpy, knowing I was being overdramatic. Carli just rolled her eyes and waved goodbye, before taking off.

I did what she said. I tried my best to get it together, and entered the house. I was immediately hit with ridicules drunkenness and a classical high school party scene.
I didn't see any too familiar faces right away, feeling a sense of relief.
It wasn't that I didn't want to my friends, or Kelley, it's just that I needed some alcohol in my system for that to happen first.
I made my way to the kitchen, thinking I was in the clear. Not my smartest move.

"O'Solooo." Ashlyn yelled the second I stepped in, clearly intoxicated.
"Wait, no. That's not- hah that's hilarious. I'm hilarious." Ashlyn continued slurring her words, making little sense. I got her joke though, not funny.
"Hi, Ash. You feeling okay?" I spoke clearly, sort of like talking to a child. Cause really there's not much difference from a drunk adult to a kid anyways.
"Great." She replied, now giving me a smirk. "Saw little miss sophomore earlier. Lookin' good." She continued, wiggling her eyebrows. I just rolled me eyes.
"I'm sure you did. Now where's that famous bottle of yours?" I changed the subject, needing alcohol. Ashlyn has this strong stuff that she gets from God knows where, and let me just say I know first hand that it works.
"You got it, Solo." She smiled devilish, walking over to the counter. The bottle was already half empty, and I couldn't help but worry who she unwillingly served it to.

I drank a couple shots, hoping it would kick in quickly. I know it was only a matter of time before I run into you know who, and I need to have something prepared to say I feel.
How did it get so complicated between Kelley and I, when? We haven't even actually given it a go yet, but it's already a thing. I mess up, I mess up everything I touch and I don't wanna mess her up. I can't do that. But I can't keep myself away, a do can't control myself around her either. What am I gonna do?

Julie's POV

"And then JJ was all 'I'm quitting school' and we all just laughed because she's so dramatic and probably just got an A- which is-" Moe was rambling on, telling Christen stories about me. Embarrassing stories, I might add.
"Okay, that's enough." I interrupted, giving Moe and Lindsey both a deadly glare.
"Christen, wanna go get a refill?" I asked, smiling polite towards the forward. She seemed to be enjoying the stories, but gladly went with me anyways.

The second I stood up, I felt how HAO's magical punch had kicked in. I suddenly struggled to walk in a straight line, and my vision was slightly blurry. I'm not too good at alcohol, apparently I can't hold much.
It seemed as if Christen had the same problem, looking slightly taken aback as she stood up herself. I couldn't they'll but smile.
She suddenly seemed to lose balance, and as a reflection I quickly came to her rescue.
She ended up falling in my arms, much like a cliche teenage movie.
"You okay there?" I asked, knowing I had a cheesy smile on my face. Christen laughed.
"Maybe a refill isn't the best idea?" She joked, but I kinda agreed with her.

"Take her on a date first, Johnston!" Moe yelled, clearly feeling the alcohol herself seeing as she's usually not this straight forward.
I loosened my grip of Christen, letting her stand on her own, but still making sure she had control. I just ignored my friends comment, knowing it would do no good confronting her about it.
"You should though." Christen suddenly mumbled, looking like she was as shocked to her words as I was. "What?" I asked, not fully knowing if I misinterpreted that or not.
"Take me on a date. You should." She smiled shyly, looking like she didn't know what she was saying but seemed happy that she did.
I couldn't help but smile widely.
"I- I will. I want to." I said, trying to get my words in the right order. This beautiful girl wanted to go out with me, and here I am making a mess of the situation. Get it together, Johnston. Where's your game, at?

"You wanna dance?" I asked, wanting to continue the conversation in a sober state. Deeply hoping she would too.
"Sure. Gotta warn you though, I'm probably worse than Abby." Christen joked, her giggling making me feel all kinds of things.
The girls had told many stories of a former teammate named Abby, who apparently couldn't remotely dance but insisted on all the time anyways.
"That makes two of us then." I joked back, knowing I was not one to brag about my not existing dance moves.

She let me take her hand, and guide her into the crowds of jumping sweaty bodies. I couldn't ignore the fire inside of me from feeling her touch, and I never wanted it to go away.
As soon as we got somewhere in the middle, I turned around, still holding on to her hand.
We spotted a couple familiar faces, like HAO going crazy by herself on the dance floor, or Alex and Tobin being all over each other in the corner on the couch, everyone was just waiting for that to happen apparently. Also Kelley and Hope, but on different sides of the room. Seemingly yet to acknowledge each other's presence.

I could really only focus on the beauty in from of me though. Long brown hair, deep hazel brown eyes to get lost in.
Christen pulled me closer by my waist, once again setting me on fire with her touch. I held my breath as she pulled me closer, letting her lead the way. She let her hands slip around my waist now, causing us to stand close.
I almost forgot to breath, but were able to get it somewhat under control. Without fully knowing what I did, I let my hands wander behind her neck. We were so close I could feel her warm breath on me, and I knew right there that I was straight up falling for this girl.

(A/N: I decided I had to take this party out in several chapters, so there's more to come!
More chapter up shortly.
Let me know what you think so far;)
