A week passed since Wally was bitten by the Shadow Wraith. During that time, his condition stabilized after being given the vaccine for the poison. While recovering, Ford had put him on strict bed rest.

Being in bed all day was never fun alone. That's why having siblings was such a blessing! Dipper was looking through the journal while Mabel and Wally were playing chess.

"Check and mate Mabel." Wally said.

Mabel clicked her teeth and examined the board. "I was sure that I had you, how did you beat me?" He asked.

"A master never reveals his secrets." Wally said.

"That's "magicians never reveal their secrets" Dum-Dum." Mabel said.

Wally shrugged, "Whatever."

"Strange," Dipper said, as he closed the journal, "There's nothing in the journal about amulets. The closest thing is a magic charm." He said.

"Not at all?" Wally asked.

"Nope." Dipper said.

Wally looked at the fiery-orange stone hanging from a silver chain around his neck. It didn't look special, but somehow, it felt as if it was hiding a secret.

"Where did you find that thing anyway?" Mabel asked.

"It was in a cave in the woods. When the Shadow Wraith was chasing me, it was in a secret hiding place in the cave." Wally replied.

There was a long silence before anyone spoke.

"We should show him."

"What?!" Dipper asked.

"The journal. We should show Grunkle Ford the journal." Wally said.

"I know what you said, but why?" Dipper asked.

"Well, if he did write it, then there's probably something he can tell us about it." Wally responded.

"What if he did write it, and takes it away from us? Then we won't know anything." Mabel said.

"Then what are we supposed to do?" Wally asked.

"We wait." Dipper stated, "When we can get enough answers, we'll show Grunkle Ford. How does that sound?" He asked.

"I guess that's fair." Wally said.

Mabel was anxious about the uncomfortable silence in the air. She never really liked it, made her think that something bad was going to happen. "Who's up for TV?" She asked.

Wally chuckled, "As long as I can get out of this bed, I'm fine with that." He said.

The triplets crept downstairs to the living room and hopped up onto the sofa.

"Ready to rot your brains?" Dipper asked, as he grabbed the remote.

"Always." Wally chuckled.

Suddenly, Soos's head poked into the room, "You guys watching TV?" He asked.

"You know it!" Wally said.

"Sweet, mind if I join?" Soos asked.

"Sure, have a seat." Mabel said.

Soos sat on the floor as the TV flickered on, with a commercial playing.

"Hey, look. It's that commercial I was telling you guys about." Soos exclaimed, as a voice over of a man with a rich-sounding voice began.

"Are you completely miserable?" The voice asked, showing a man on his bed, crying, as he agreed.

"Then you need to meet...Pacifica and Mari." The narrator said again, prompting the triplets and handyman to look up in confusion.
