For three days, three whole days, Mabel hasn't left her bed. Ever since the fight with Pacifica and Mari, she's done nothing but sit up in her room and draw in her sketchbook.
This worried the boys of the family to some degree.
This morning was no different. Dipper, Wally, and Ford sat silently at the table eating breakfast, occasionally sneaking glances at the doorway in hopes to see Mabel there.
Ford sighed, "Do you think she's doing all right?" He asked.
When only science greeted him, Ford removed his glasses and scrubbed at his face. Like his nephews, he was also worried about Mabel.
The man placed his glasses back on his face and looked down at the newspaper. What he saw was made him grin as the idea formed in his head.
"Boys, I think I know how to cheer your sister up." Ford said, as he showed them the newspaper.
"Do you think this'll work?" Dipper asked.
"Oh, I think it'll work."
"Then it's settled!" Ford said, as he pumped his fist in the air.
_____________Like the day they went searching for the Gobblewonker, Ford was at the wheel while the children sat in the backseat.
"I think that you're gonna like what what your surprise is Mabel." Wally said.
Mabel scoffed, "The last surprise I had almost got me killed."
"It's different this time, Mabes, I promise." Wally said. Deep down, he felt what happened to Mabel was his fault.
He did drag her along without knowing of what Mari and Pacifica were up to.
"Just give it a chance, please Mabel?" Dipper asked, as he gave his sister the puppy-dog eyes.
Mabel sighed, having a brother like Dipper was a pain. But she knew that he was doing it for her own good. "Fine."
_____________"Who would've thought a winter fair would be such a big hit in town today?" Ford asked.
"Wow...look at all the food vendors, games, rides, and a Dunk Tank?" Wally questioned.
"Okay, even if it is kinda warmer today, isn't it cold for that?" Mabel questioned.
"Sadly, some poor fool is going to go in there." Ford said.
"Aww, so you're not going in Stanford?"
The family turned around to see an unfamiliar face. "What are you doing here Gideon?" Ford asked
"The same reason that you are, this fair is being paid for by me of course." Gideon said.
Strangely, Wally felt a strange vibe from the white-haired boy. This feeling caused him to curl his fingers around the amulet around his neck.
"Well, catch you later old man." Gideon said, as he turned to walk away.
"Who was that air-head?" Mabel asked.
"Oh him? That's Gideon Northwest, his family owns just about everything in Gravity Falls." Ford explained.
"But why was he so...rude?" Dipper asked.
"It's a snobby rich kid Dippy, we dealt with them all the time in Piedmont." Wally said.
"Oh." Dipper said.
"Last for over twenty minutes, and win a new electron microscope!"
Ford fearures perked up as he eyes the dunk tank, "I could use a microscope..." He said.
