Dipper and Wally peeked around the corner of the house as Ford spoke to the crowd of people.

"Can you believe it? Our statue is gonna be on display in the Museum!" Dipper squealed.

"I know right!" Wally said.

"Now, I'd like to welcome the brains behind building this masterpiece, please welcome my great nephews, Dipper and Wally!" Ford introduced, as the boy's walked out on stage.

"Please, please, control your applause." Wally said with a grin.

Only crickets could be heard to occupy the deathly silence.

"We will gladly take questions, how about you." Dipper said, gesturing to the man with glasses.

"Toby Determined here, Gravity Rises Gossiper, do you think this statue museum constitutes as a wonder of the world?"

"Um...I would say Wonder of the World, but I'd certainly say it's better than that dumb 'ol Tent of Telepathy." Wally shrugged.

Before Toby could respond, Ford jumped in, "Your microphone is a turkey baster Toby." He said matter-of-factly.

"It certainly is-"

"Shandra Jimenez, a real reporter." The woman exclaimed, facing Toby before looking back up at Ford, as she held out a flyer, "Your flyers promised free pizza with admission to this event. Is this true?"

The citizens began chattering among themselves, and suddenly it clicked.

No wonder so many townsfolk showed up.

Ford left Dipper to print the flyers, and he'd added a promise of free pizza on them. Unfortunately, they were out of any pizza for that matter, and it was too late to order any regardless.

Wally raised his eyebrow at Dipper, before sighing as he faced the audience, "Unfortunately, there was a slight misunderstanding between communication, and therefore I am sorry to announce there will not be any free pizza, nor any pizza at all." He exclaimed, as Dipper awkwardly smiled in embarrassment.

The audience arose from their seats angrily, talking among themselves as they cleared out. A portly man with a coat reading "free pizza" sighed, getting up from his chair as he disappointedly walked away.

Another woman in a pink shirt began aggressively breaking a few chairs, as a red-haired buff-man holding an axe punched the wood-post, screaming "In your face!" before walking away.

"Was that really necessary?" Ford asked, glancing at his nephews who shrugged cluelessly.

Robbie and Mabel cringed as they watched the angry citizens all leave, as Dipper joined beside them, leaning his arm on the table. "I think that went well." He exclaimed, staring ahead with a smile.

The glowing moon lingered directly above the shack in the night sky, the trees chittering as they gently blowed in the ice-cold wind. Fog extended around the lower part of the building in strokes, a faint light coming from the living room window, the only source of light that could be seen through kilometers of pine trees. The light reflected on the packed snow that covered the ground on the outside, which dazzled in response to it's glow.

Inside, Mabel, Wally, Dipper, and Ford were sure enough occupying the living room. Mabel read from a green book as she sat on the coffee table, as Dipper and Wally waxed their statue to keep it shiny. Ford counted the money, before turning to face the triplets.

"Remarkable! Your statue was able to collect more cash then I could've on my own." He commented, as he turned to face Dipper and Wally, "I owe it all to you, my boy." He began gently rubbing Dipper's head, as Dipper stuck his tongue out in response, smiling.

"Now you kids get yourselves some rest. We have another long day of work tomorrow."

"Good night, Great Uncle Ford." Mabel commented, hopping down from the coffee table as she followed her brothers past him, heading upstairs.

"Good night, children." He responded, slightly waving as the twins fully walked out of his view. He stared at the statue, biting his lip slightly, walking out of the room as he headed for the bathroom.

As he washed his hands, he heard a loud noise come from outside.

The old man jumped at the sound and poked his head out of the room.

"Hello? Kids? Was that you?" Ford asked, as he started to walk back out to the living room.

There, on the living room floor, he found the head of Statue Ford, torn raggedly from the rest of his body.

"What the..." Ford muttered, as he bent down.

What he didn't notice was a large figure towering over him. Then Ford let out a scream as a jagged piece of scrap metal was jammed into his back. Blood flowed freely out of the freshly opened wound. But before he could turn around another object caught him on the side of the head, knocking him out.

The man was left there to bleed out, unable to do anything to save himself.
____________

Wally trudged down the stairs rubbing his eyes muttering under his breath until he tripped over something. He was about to chalk it off as an act of bad luck until he saw what he tripped over.

"Oh my gosh, Great Uncle Ford! Dipper! Mabel! Get down here, now!" Wally shouted, as he checked the man for a pulse.

It was weak, but it was there.

Dipper and Mabel raced down the stairs and gasped at the sight of their great uncle unconscious on the floor.

"He isn't...dead...is he?" Dipper asked.

"Luckily no, but he's really hurt." Wally said, getting close to tears.

"What do we do about the piece of metal sticking out?" Mabel asked.

Before anyone could answer the triplets heard the man groan in pain.

"Great Uncle Ford!" Dipper said.

"Ugh...Kids? Wha...what happened?" Ford asked.

"Don't move. This piece of metal is gonna be a problem." Wally said, as he took hold of the object, making the man hiss in pain.

"Here Grunkle Ford, just hold my hand." Mabel said, taking her uncle's large calloused hand into her own.

"I'm gonna call the ambulance." Dipper said, as he got up and went to the phone.

Wally eased the jagged object from the old man's back which made him squeeze the life out of Mabel's hand. Fresh blood started to ooze from the wound, with nothing stopping it. Then when he pulled it out and dropped it to the floor.

Mabel gently stroked her uncle's hair as the man tried to accommodate the harsh pain in his back. "You did great Grunkle Ford, just take it easy for a little." Mabel said, just as Dipper came back to the living room and sat beside Wally.

"The ambulance is on it's way, just hang on Grunkle Ford." Dipper said.

"Kids...thank you..." Ford muttered.

"It was our pleasure." Mabel said.

"That's what family does, right?" Wally asked.

Ford chuckled grimly, "I guess so kiddo."
