The triplets landed in a heap, in the snow. Wally quickly recovered and snatched the Time Tape from his brother's grip and jumped to his feet.
Mabel sat up, rubbing her head and looked around, "Now where are we Dipper?" She asked.
"I think the question should be "when are we" Mabel." Wally said.
"How should I know, Wally was the one who pulled the tape." Dipper replied, as he sat up.
"Hey, I'm not the one who started all of this over a pig!" Wally snapped.
"Whatever," Mabel began, as she stood up and dusted the snow off of her clothes. "losing our cool won't solve anything, let's just gather our bearings and find out where we are." Mabel said.
Dipper looked around and saw something that looked really familiar. "Hey guys..." He said.
Wally and Mabel looked in the same direction as Dipper and their jaws dropped.
It was the Mystery Museum, or at least, they thought it was. The place looked a lot newer than what they were used to.
"Is this...the Museum?" Dipper asked.
"That's what it looks like." Wally said, as he took a step forward.
The triplets circled the house, investigating every nook and cranny of the Mystery Museum look alike.
"This is definitely the Mystery Museum. It's just...new." Wally said.
That's when they heard the cocking of a gun, "If any of you Crescent Eye freaks move a muscle, I'll turn you all into Swiss cheese."
The kids didn't move or speak.
"Now, turn around, slowly."
The kids did as they were told and who they saw shocked them. Standing in front of them was Stanford Pines, their great uncle. But he was totally different from who they knew in their timeline. His hair was a dark brown and going gray at the temples and his eyes looked a lot more tired than they did before, almost like he'd been forgoing sleep.
Ford's eyes went wide as he lowered his gun, "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you all like that."
"It's...okay." Wally said.
"What are you doing all the way out here?" Ford asked.
"Oh you know, we just got lost." Dipper said.
"Please, come inside, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I let three kids freeze to death." Ford said, as he ushered the children inside.
Upon entering the children could see that books were stacked up to the ceiling and notes were scattered across the floor.
"Wow Mabes, it looks like our room when you went through your CSI phase." Dipper joked
"Excuse me for the mess kids, I've just...been going through some things." Ford said.
"Can't blame ya for that Fordsy." Dipper said.
Ford stopped dead in his tracks.
He hadn't mentioned his name.
At this point, only three people knew his nickname. Two of them were currently missing and one was...hidden.
"How...did you know my name?" Ford asked, as he peered over his shoulder.
"Oh uh...well I..." Dipper stuttered.
"I knew that something was off about you three!" Ford whipped around in a swift motion and pulled the gun on them once again.
