"Halloween is in six days, Trys. What are we gonna do?"

"I'm not sure if I can even go this year, I mean I'm kinda injured here."

"You'll just have to suck it up, I'm not doin' Halloween without my best friend."

I just roll my eyes at Isabel and take another Oreo from the package. Since my ankle is sprained and I can't do much (doctors orders) Isabel canceled our original plans to go to the river with the guys. Instead, she's hanging out with me at my house. All we've done so far is eat Oreos and talk about whatever. Halloween is the current topic and Is wants to go to the big Halloween bonfire at Luke's house. And yes, that Luke, the annoying one on the basketball team.

"I'm only going if you can find me a costume I can rock with crutches, otherwise I'm not wastin' my energy. Crutchin' around is a lot of work."

Just the idea of walking on crutches all night makes me cringe.

"Challenge accepted."

I just roll my eyes in response and stuff another oreo in my mouth. I really love oreos.

"I'll try to come up with something couply so that Erik can match you. It'll be so cute!", she gushes.

"Whatever you say."

I love my best friend, but seriously I don't wanna be the crippled one at a party.

"What should I be? Bryan said whatever I picked he'd go with. I just can't decide though, there's so many options."

"Be a giraffe and let him be the zookeeper."

I honestly think that'd be really funny.

"Ha ha, very funny. I'm serious, I don't know what to pick."

"Well what are your favorites?"

"I really like the flapper girl one."

It's a cute white flapper dress with tassels on the bottom.

"Oooh, yeah that one's cute. I definitely think you should do that."

"Really?"

"Really. Just think, Bryan would look really good in a tux. You guys would be so cute," I say matter of factly.

"You right, you right."

"I'm always right. Are you ever gonna learn?"

We both laugh at that.

"Speakin' of Bryan, why does he keep callin' you little pet names? Has he asked you out?"

If he asked her out and she didn't tell me we are going to have a serious problem.

"No not yet," she says with a frown.

"We're just really close now. We've actually hung out quite a bit. I wish he would ask me out already!", she continues, groaning.

"I'm sorry Is. I wonder why he hasn't."

"I dunno but I really want him to. I like him a lot Trys."

"He'll do it eventually, don't worry."

"I hope so."

Bryan better hurry up and ask her out because they would make a super cute couple. I'm happy that Isabel has found someone; she deserves someone.

My phone vibrates with a text so I pick it up off the couch and unlock it.

Erik: I miss you :(

I smile to myself, he's just so cute. I quickly type back a response.

Me: I miss you too
