Nathan's POV
"Hey man, Hurry up" Ryan calls from his car
Jake sits at the back passenger seat with Sarah, Sally and Natalie. Placing my phone in the back pocket of my jeans I open the front passenger seat.
"You took a awful lot of time on your make up today" Sally teases as soon as I close the car door
"uhm.. Honey, I need to use the bathroom" Sarah says in a attempt to sound childish to Ryan
Rolling his eyes without her seeing he turns towards " Can you wait on till we get there?"
"Yeah I guess"
"Maybe you can find yourself a man tonight" I say to Sally
"Well maybe you'll--"
"Now now children, behave" Ryan says while starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot
Turning on the car stereo to John Legend All of you. Sally begins to hum while Sarah starts singing at the top of her voice. The car erupts in laughter and small chuckles from Jake and Natalie.
Natalie had been quite the entire time, as for Jake he has that why always me look on his face. Jake had been single for a while now after about a month ago when he broke up with the Rhonda chick for no apparent reason, he kept a distance from other girls and finding great friendship in Natalie. They have grown pretty close.
Pulling up to the parking lot of the karaoke place. There's a sign saying 'karaoke, a song to attend'
Lucy stands beside that waiter guy, in front of the dark green building. Holding Natalie's arm we walk over to them with Sarah and Ryan following closely behind.
"You made it" Natalie greets Lucy then turning towards the guy beside her
"Lucas, this is Natalie " Lucy introduces them
" Nice meeting you" Natalie smiles
"Nice meeting you too" Lucas says slowly scanning Natalie's body from her jeans upward.
"This is Nathan... Sarah... Jake...Ryan and Sally" Natalie introduces everyone else, gaining a few nods and hellos
"Nice meeting you all" Lucas says
His voice sounds mischievous. He laces his fingers through lucy's gaining a slight jump from her. I could tell it was the first he had ever done that.
For a moment there I thought I saw him give Natalie some sort of eye contact but he couldn't possibly.
"There starting" Ryan says
We walk through the white door with two microphone formed in an x on it. Sitting around a circular table facing the stage where a chick with red hair was preparing to sing.
"you know everyone has to sing a song right? " Sally asks
" Sarah you better leave" Ryan teases Sarah who sits leaning against his arm
The chick with red hair starts singing Beyonce listen, gaining attention from every soul in the room.
Her keys were perfect as if she was professional. Natalie stared in awe when she reached the chorus and everyone cheered when she ended the song and return the microphone.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen" a guy takes the microphone and greets everyone "As you all may or may not know, everyone is required to sing"
Lucy stands to leave whispering something to Lucas "We'll start with that little miss over there" the guy says pointing to a Burnett
Lucy sighs in relieve when she realizes that it isn't her. She moves to the area where the bathrooms are, looking around the table everyone seem to be in there own conversation.
"I need some air, I'll be right back" I whisper to Natalie removing her from Me
Walking back out to the cold air against my skin I stare upon the stars. I used to try and count them when I was a child, then make a wish on a falling star.
"My grandmother used to wish upon those stars with me each night, every night something new " a voice says from behind me
Turning to see Lucy in a purple dress with white pokodots, I hadn't even notice on till now "why are you telling me this? "
She removes her eyes from the stars and turn towards me with hurt "Sorry, I just... " she says staring to walk away
"Look" I stop her "A shooting star, mother once taught me to always share the beauty of a shooting star"
I couldn't fight the urge to show her, even with my displeasure in her I couldn't "You know it doesn't work" she begins "wishing upon a star, it doesn't come true"
Turning to look into her eyes I catch the level of hurt she holds "let's try"
She looks at me in surprise before nodding and closing her eyes to make a wish.
Now I know I've always made nathan look like a bad guys but how's that for a change. I'm just letting my imagination run wild. Vote, comment and recommend ☺☺
