Scootaloo: Back in time?!
Soarin: For real?!
Starswirl: Yes. In doing so, we'll be able to stop the rebellion-
Blaire: And stop all this once and for all!
Applejack: So, all we have to do is touch the necklaces-or elements-and they'll be back to normal?
Starswirl: Precisely. However we must hurry if we want to stop them in time!
Suddenly, there was a banging on the door. Everyone could see faint shadows streaming in from the cracks in the door and window.
Starswirl: Quickly! My light spells won't last forever! I will get us out of here!
There was a bright flash of light. When it faded, they found themselves surrounded by shadows from almost every side.
Fluttershy: Oh my. We're surrounded!
Rarity: Not quite! This way!
They followed her to a gap in the wall of shadows, only for it to be blocked by some all too familiar faces.
Rarity2: Where do you think you're going?
Violet2: You'll miss out on all the fun.
Pinkie: What fun?! I know fun, and being chased, pulled to this other realm, and cornered is definitely NOT it!!
Pinkie2: Oh we didn't say it would be fun for you.
Starswirl: You have tormented me and other humans for too long! You have committed many acts of rebellion. Surrender now, or we will have to take it upon ourselves to defeat you!
The shadows all looked at him, then at each other. Then they suddenly burst out laughing.
Violet2: How ludicrous! A mere human thinks he has power over us?! You may be gifted in the magic arts, Starswirl, but do you really think your flimsy little spells are enough to defeat us?
Starswirl: Maybe not. But I know I am not alone in this battle. Blaire! Your spell!
Blaire: But I haven't perfected it yet! It's too unstable!
Starswirl: It's okay! Just try your best!
Blaire breathed deeply before moving her hands and moved her hands in a strange pattern while chanting.
Blaire: Luceat Lux Vestra!
Her hands glowed and a bright flash extended outward. Once it hit the shadows, they shrieked. Cracks of light formed across their bodies before they shattered. Blaire bowed her head breathing deeply.
Soarin: What was that?!
Blaire: *pant* A spell of my own creation. It *pant* isn't perfected yet though.
Applejack: Are you kidding?
Pinkie: That was amazing!
Starswirl: Well done.
Blaire: Thanks!
Violet2: I wouldn't thank her just yet.
Scootaloo: You're still alive?!
Rainbow: I thought Blaire's spell totally iced you guys!
Fluttershy2: That old spell? That did nothing! Those other shadows were weak anyway!
Violet2: Now allow us to demonstrate what magic can really do.
Suddenly the ground beneath them shook and streams of shadows started to crawl up their legs.
Applejack: What in tarnation?!
Rarity: Get it off!
Violet2: Your efforts are in vain. Before you know it, these streams will merge with your entire being and your souls will be tied to Limbo forever!
Scootaloo: No!!
Starswirl: Fie on you, vile beasts!!
The streams crawled up even faster. They all wriggled and tried to escape.
Fluttershy: What do we do now?
Twilight: Starswirl! Can't you use a spell to get us out of here?!
Starswirl: I'm afraid I've never encountered anything like this before! I can honestly say I've got nothing!
Blaire: I can't believe it! I screwed up that spell! I failed Violet! Now what's going to happen to her!
The shadows made it to their torsos and continued crawling.
Violet2 and the others all smirked at their enemies slowly approaching demise.
Rainbow: Wait.
They stopped and looked at her.
Rainbow: I get it...This is like what happened with Nightmare! It's all the negativity and sorrow that giving the shadows an advantage!
Twilight: Yeah...you're right!
Rainbow: Aren't I?
The shadows slowed their journey a little.
Twilight: Come on!
She reached out for Rainbow's and Rarity's arms. Then they tried to reach out for everyone else's arms.
Twilight: Don't let the darkness get to you!
Fluttershy: I think it's working!
Suddenly, the necklaces that their shadow counterparts were wearing shined for a brief moment, surprising the wearers. The shadow streams slowed their journey entirely and reversed their travel back down to the ground.
Violet2: What?! How is this possible!?
She turned to the other shadows.
Violet2: What are you waiting for?! Go before they retrieve the elements!
They nodded and sped off.
Starswirl: Girls! The corrupted elements gain more power when apart! You must convert them back to normal before it is too late! We will stay and deal with this one!
He paused as he looked at everyone. Blaire, Soarin, and Scootaloo were more than ready to help. Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy were on their way to get back what was rightfully theirs.
Starswirl: I have the upmost faith in all of you. Good luck.
