"Don't give me that look, Jase. You know that I love doughnuts just as much as you."

Jason frowned. "Yes, but that doesn't give you the right to take the last one!!"

You and Jason were doing a 'breakfast for dinner' kind of deal, and needless to say, there was not much to choose from out of the leftovers from the morning. You'd been wise and jogged ahead of him on your way there, successfully getting the only decent item left at the buffet table-a donut with vanilla frosting and sprinkles.

"I have every right," You retorted, taking a bite out of it. "every half-blood for themselves."

Jason sighed and poked the stale bagel he'd gotten. "This thing is as hard as a rock, can I at least have a piece of yours?"

Giving in to the Captain America look-a-like, you broke a small piece off. But, Jason Grace was slicker than you thought. He took the larger piece out of your other hand before you could stop him, stuffing it in his mouth.

"Jason Grace!!" You lightly hit him, giving him the most surprised look he'd ever seen.

It took him a few minutes, but he was able to swallow the doughnut. "Something wrong?"

"You owe me big time, buster." You 'tsked' him.

He nodded, and the two of you were off to your cabins, walking together. As your separate ways came, you gave him a wave goodbye.

"See you tomorrow, bestie?" You joked, and he laughed to himself, waving goodbye.

>.<

The next morning went by as any other morning usually did, until you left your cabin for breakfast. Jason usually met you at on the way there, and the two of you would walk together, sitting at the Zeus table to eat. But today, he hadn't waited for you.

This sparked the worry inside of you.

Walking to the Dining Pavilion, you saw him laughing about something with his friends, relieving you. He was probably just caught up talking with Percy, Leo, and Grover. Seeing a golden new buffet table piled with new foods for the day, you grabbed a doughnut almost identical to the one from last night. Striding over to Jason, you poked his shoulder.

"Hey, brick lover." You teased, but immediately became embarrassed about when he showed no emotion in his response.

"Oh. Hey." He stated coolly.

You didn't know how to respond to that, it left you as stiff as a board. Since when was Jason ever like this? Before you could say anything about it he sauntered off with his buddies, sitting at a table that obviously didn't have enough room for you. Starting to get annoyed, you sat at your godly parent's table. You stayed silent as you tried to think of what you could've done to make Jason so pissed at you.

The rest of the day went by, Jason avoiding you at every cost. You'd had enough of it, what on earth happened to him in one night? You confronted him when he was alone, sharpening his sword.

"What's happened to you, Jason?" You searched his eyes for some sort of emotion.

He didn't make eye contact. "Nothing."

You exhaled angrily. "Something's clearly wrong. Did I do something? Why have you been ignoring me all day?"

The back of your throat burned, indicating that waterworks were on their way. Jason lifted his head up, his expression soft and innocent. You waited for a response, a legit excuse for his odd behavior all day.

"I-I think I'm in love with you."

Every bit of anger in your body dispersed, the only thing you could feel was shock.

Jason gripped his hair, looking at the floor. "I knew I shouldn't have said anything! I didn't want this to ruin our friendship, Y/N. I thought maybe if-"

You stopped his words by pressing your lips to his. He was surprised at first, but graciously (A/N: get it, grace-iously) kissed you back. Pulling apart from the kiss Jason had dreamed of since the day he met you, you smiled at him.

"And I think I love you too."
