"God, Annabeth, how on earth did you afford this?" You marveled, swinging her hand in yours as you looked up at the sky.

Annabeth had actually offered to take the both of you to Paris. You, being completely shocked, said yes. There had been multiple occasions when you told her that you wanted to chip in money wise in some sort, but she wouldn't allow it.

She smiled at your happiness. "I have my ways."

"Oh my god, Annabeth, there's a bakery. We have to go inside." You pressed, already dragging her along as you ran to the bakery.

"Slow down!" She laughed, purposely trying to slow down to tease you.

You tugged at her wrist harder, whining. "Babe, this is not a joke. Move faster, dammit!!"

Annabeth giggled and let her self get dragged away to the bakery by you.

The second you stepped inside, you froze of excitement. The bakery was small, but it still felt the same way you had when you visited NYC the first time: just stopping in your tracks to take everything in. The baker, covered in flour and he rolled out dough. The bread-scented smoke flowing out of the ovens, filling your nostrils. The amazingly warm feeling- almost as good as the feeling you got when you kissed Annabeth. The low hum of people talking inside, as well as some kitchen commotion.

Annabeth nudged you along, letting you admire every inch of the bakery as she watched to make sure you didn't trip on anything. Her grin grew wide when she saw the amazement clear on your face, oh gods she was so whipped for you. If you had asked her to anything she'd be on it.

Knowing a little French, she ordered for the two of you. It's not like you could've anyway, you were too busy trying to sneak glances into the busy kitchen.

Annabeth picked a table for you two to sit at, and you smiled at her.

"So what'd you order me?" You spoke excitedly, and she took out a small, square pastry with small bits of chocolate oozing out of.

"Pain au chocolat." She said, already sporting a good French accent.

You took your pastry, cheesily winking at your girlfriend. "You're hot when you speak French."

She rolled her eyes. "Eat your pastry, Y/N."

The night crept upon you two, and you tugged at your sleeves, only letting the tips of your fingers pop out. It was starting to get a little cold, so you and Annabeth were heading back to your hotel room.

You sighed contently, letting the rush of warm air greet you. Annabeth looked at her phone and answered a phone call, which seemed serious.

"Head up to the hotel room," she whispered, holding her phone back. "I'll meet you up there."

You shrugged and didn't think anything of it. Giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, you quickly slipped into the elevator. Heading to your room, you whistled to yourself as you took out your key.

Already walking into your room you could smell Annabeth and a hint of your perfume. You both had definitely left an imprint on this room. Seeing a shopping bag left on your bed, your eyebrows furrowed. You went over and peeked into the black bag, seeing a note.

Wear this and meet me back down stairs. ;)

Starting to smile outrageously, you took out a beautiful outfit, already dying from its beauty. You knew Annabeth, and there was no way she could've picked out this outfit without some sort of help.

Seeing as how fancy the outfit was, you made sure to make your hair nice, applying the smallest bit of make up and spraying on some perfume. You checked in the mirror before you left and yep, you looked hot. Not as hot as Annabeth, but hot enough.

When you got down stairs Annabeth gaped at you, as well as you did because of her. She looked stunning.

"Well aren't I lucky to have a girlfriend as gorgeous as you." You said to her, and she smiled.

"I could say the same." She replied, and held her hand out for you to take. "Come on, now."

The part of restaurant that you and Annabeth were sat in was unusually empty. You sat outside on a black balcony, the moonlight shining brighter than it ever has. The Eiffel Tower gleamed with sparkling lights, and you looked at it astoundingly.

"This is gorgeous, Annabeth. And this meal is fantastic." You smiled, still taking in the view.

She laughed. "Then that means there's only one more thing left to do."

Dessert? Your mind immediately thought. Even though your meal was luscious and filling, you were sure you had room somewhere for a French dessert.

Annabeth went towards her bag, and you tried not to hide your disappointment because you figured she was taking out her credit card. You went back to admiring the view, jealous that some people got to see this everyday.

"Might as well finish this bottle of wine." She said, pouring the rest of the drink into your cup.

Hearing a clink come from your glass, you looked away from the Eiffel Tower and into your glass. You gasped at the sight. Inside your glass of white wine was a beautiful ring. You looked up at Annabeth, eyes wide.

She smiled softly. "Y/N, will you spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Oh my god," You whispered, still taken aback by the ring.

"Yes!! Yes!!" You cried out, getting up from your seat to hug her.

She got up too, connecting your hug passionately. You let go of the hug, seeing the employees inside the restaurant, as well as a few customers, applauding. You laughed, eyes tear-filled as you looked back at your new fiancé.

"I love you." You breathed out, and she giggled back.

Annabeth brought you into a deep kiss, and in that moment, you could swear that you had never felt more alive.
