Chapter 20 - Knox

   "What do you want me to do now, Knox?" Evangeline asks me impatiently. I turn to face her.
    "Hmmm, you can probably guess!" I scowl at her. She stares into the distance and smiles wickedly. I remember when she completed her first task for me- making Zenix go berserk and he got kicked out of the village! Ha! But Zella found him again, so I need Evangeline to use her magicks again.
    "Thankfully, I can complete both of our tasks at the same time!" she laughs. "Looks like Zenix won't have good dreams tonight. This will tear Garroth's heart out! Ha!" I am proud of my Shadow Knight apprentice! I couldn't have made a better decision in life than this! And now, Zenix will be destroyed and all will be left is for Zella to love me. And at the same time, Evangeline is taking care of his mentor out of her own hate.
    "Perfect," I say out loud, "Soon, after I kill my mother and you kill Garroth, our transformations will be complete!" I stare into her star filled eyes and I see something unfamiliar. She normally has a look of pure joy at the sound of our transformation, but not this time. No... she looks ashamed.
