"Zella?! Where are you?!" I call out. I have looked all around God Grave and she is nowhere to be found! This is making me nervous. Maybe she doesn't love me anymore... it was only yesterday when we kissed. I am pretty much shaking with nervousness. But, then, I remember. I sprint toward the birch forest, but I feel the wind knocked out of me.
"Ha ha ha! Lover Loser!" Knox yells at me, "How will you get anywhere in life when you have love in your way?!" Ugh, he is such a bully...
"Hey!" someone yells back at him, "It's not if you will get anywhere in life!" I sigh with relief when I see that it is Zella. But she looks nervous, not brave. Knox snickers, but Zella helps me up and we run into the birch forest. But I hear Knox mumble something under his breath,
"One of you will die before you can get any closer to each other..."
Zella covers my eyes and leads me through the forest. I know what she is going to show me, but I act confused.
"Ready... look!" Zella yells as she uncovers my eyes revealing her completed treehouse. I gape. It is amazing! It is made of birch planks and it is in a huge tree. Zella is smiling so wide her eyes are closed.
"It may have took three years, but it was worth it!" Zella says, happily. We climb the ladder to the top and inside is even more amazing! Carpet floors, two beanbag chairs, two windows, and a table with pictures, a lantern, and a few potions. I sit in the blue beanbag chair and Zella flops on the purple one.
"I will be sleeping here tonight to get away from my mom. She won't care..." Zella mentions. I look at her in the eyes.
"I shouldn't ask, but what even happened to your mom?" I ask, regretting it after I say it. She never asks about my mom and how she...
"No it's alright. Her soul just kind of faded after my father left," Zella explains sadly, "and she doesn't care about me a bit, really." I walk over and sit on her beanbag next to her. She puts her head on my shoulder and I put my head on top of hers.
