ELSA
History class still wasn't beginning when I entered the room. Everyone's eyes seem to be shot at me. It was hard for me to move freely. I didn't know what they wanted so I sat in my desk quietly until Mr. Rodriguez arrived.
He started another lesson about wars which I'm not really fond of listening to. I wasn't pretty amused with all the names of dead people he was mentioning.
After thirty minutes, someone had opened the door without even knocking. Was it really a habit of his to just burst in to rooms without a polite greeting? Mr. Rodriguez just glared at him and didn't say a word unlike the last time he was late for History class.
The pale boy arrogantly made his way to his chair, but right before he could even sit, he gave me a cold stare. It was only Monday and I'm already sensing tension around me. I don't know why people kept on giving me rude looks in the past few minutes which actually made me add another reason of why I hated moving in to a new school.
The next subjects were getting duller and duller. When will I ever find the word 'INTERESTING' in an atmosphere as boarder as this?
At Spanish class, only one person had the nerve to talk to me in a kind way rather than giving me a nasty stare.
"Hi, Elsa." Hiccup smiled at me. I greeted him back with another smile.
"So, how's the script?" he asked me, coming up with a subject. His seat was at my left so it wasn't really hard to talk.
"Pretty good. I just really don't understand what the story was all about." I replied. It was true. Not a single part of it did I understand. I don't even know what tone I should give when I say my monologue. I was confused with the question marks placed before the sentences. I kind of think it was a hindrance for me.
"Well, you really don't need to understand what it's all about. I'm just going to tell you what you're going to do when it's your turn." He told me. "Besides, I got everything in control. We've got our backdrop covered. Glad Merida could help us with it."
"Uhm, are you serious about the horse riding part?" I asked him. To be honest, I am not a horse-person.
"Nah, Angus is a tamed horse. You can do it." He encouraged, which really didn't work, at all. I just didn't know how to ride horses. I was chased by one when I was ten. I didn't really like that memory.
I noticed that Hiccup fell silent when Rapunzel sat on the chair on my right. My seat was actually between the two of them. For some reason, I was sensing that they weren't in good terms, at the moment. I would simply catch them looking at each other but both looks were different. Rapunzel's look meant something that was between the two of them while Hiccup's look was more on avoiding. In the middle, I felt awkward.
After the discussion, Ms. Garcia reminded us about the CD submission. In everyone's relief, the bell rang. Everyone left excitedly, leaving me inside. I took my backpack and was about to leave when Hiccup called me from outside.
"Hey, Elsa," he called. "Let's have lunch together."
"What?" I said, remembering that Rapunzel isn't a fan of my presence after what happened last week. "No, I'm okay."
"Is it about Rap?" he suddenly asked me.
"I know she's still mad at me and I don't think sitting with you guys would be any good, either." I answered.
"Don't worry," he said in a stern voice. "She wouldn't be sitting with us, today."
I was right. The two of them aren't in good terms. Somehow, I was intrigued.
