***30***

ELSA

Even though this person I am with right now is the one I hate to the bones, there's something about Jack that I can't point out.

Most of the time, he's pretty much rude to everyone. But every once in a blue moon, he changes into someone, I think, no one knew. I might say I'm lucky enough to see that side of him.

After Jack had ended his song, we also stopped swaying. He took two steps back and then gave a dramatic bow. I smiled and then bowed back. To be honest, I had never imagined myself doing this with him, but now it happened, it seems surreal. I danced with the person I hate the most.

"The dance never ends without a midnight kiss." He said in his same demure tone.

Midnight kiss? Yeah, dancing with Jack might be unreal but to kiss him is impossible enough.

"What are you talking about? You wouldn't dare do that. Would you?"

JACK

I swear, this is getting stupid. Kissing Elsa is still not in the plan but Jamie, who was behind the stage curtains, was looking forward to that crap. But I can never kiss Elsa in front of my sister. I'm never gonna' do that.

"Well, I guess I wouldn't but," I took a step closer. Elsa looked surprised by this and tried to move away. Behind the curtains, Jamie smiled so wide. She waved at me and then pointed at her mouth. This kid is so...

ELSA

He's coming closer. I stepped back a little but he took my arm. Oh God, don't even. I just closed my eyes tight and waited. My first kiss might be taken by this bastard. Should I slap him? I should.

He cupped my face and then went for it. Slap him. He kissed me on my cheek. For five seconds, his lips were on my cheek.

"And you thought I was gonna' kiss ya'." Jack whispered in my ear.

"You dope!" I exclaimed while I hit him hard in the chest. "You have no f*cking -"

And right at the corner of my eye, a girl, wearing a purple coat, jumped out of the stage curtains. Did she just hear me curse at her brother?

"Elsa!" Jamie shouted as she clumsily ran down the stage and then hugged my hip.

"Okay, Jack. Please explain to me all of this." I told him, sternly. "Starting from bringing Jamie here in the middle of a snowy night."

Before Jack could answer, Jamie pulled my dress. I looked down at her. Jamie pouted, looking up at me.

"Oh, don't get mad at Jack. It was me. I told him that if he doesn't take me to you I'm going to hide from everyone forever." Jamie explained. "I'm sorry Princess Elsa."

"I'm not mad at you, you little rebel." I said and then carried her. She was a little heavy but I can manage. "But don't go out late like this again."

"I... won't." Jamie answered between yawns. I felt her head on my shoulder.

"Is she asleep?" I asked Jack. He nodded while there was a mocking smile on his face. "You're lucky she's asleep, or else I would've shouted at your face." I said in a whisper.

"Yeah, yeah, continue that on Monday, we gotta go." Jack told me as he took Jamie from my arms.

"You still haven't explained to me everything." I continued, walking out of the room.

"That was all an act, Elsa. There's nothing more to explain." He replied.

Somehow, his response caught me. It was all just an act. All the things he did was just an act for his sister. But how come I'm so affected? But even if it was all fake, I still believed it was real. What the heck is wrong with me?

"Y - yeah, that's kinda' obvious." I lied. Seriously, Elsa. You are so naive.

When we were at the gate, the school's security guard asked me straight away.

"Hey, how did these two get here?" He said. I looked at Jack who wasn't wearing the dance's dress code. They just sneaked in here?

"Sir, chill." Jack chimed in. "We're going out, no harm done."

Before he went out, Jack stopped. "So, you can go back to the dance now."

I didn't answer. I hope they still let me in after I walked out of that Midnight Kiss.

I waited for them to walk away until they were out of sight. Just as I was about to go back, Hans came in to view. He ran toward me and took both of my arms.

"You're still here!" He said. He took off his jacket and put it on me. "It's so cold. You left your coat inside."

"I'm so sorry, Hans. I - " I apologized but Hans cut me off.

"We can talk inside. It's too cold out here." He said as he guided me back.

"So what happened while I was gone?" I asked Hans, on the way.

"They had to change the King and Queen of the Night." He answered.

I felt bad. I shouldn't have left Hans there.

"I'm sorry. It's my fault. I know you wanted that title, and I just screwed it up for you." I said. I thought what I did was pretty selfish.

"C'mon Elsa, I just said the feeling of getting that title is great. I never said I wanted it." Hans assured. What he said comforted me a bit.

"So, who did they replace?"

"Hiccup and Merida." He chuckled.

I was lying on my bed, reminiscing the dance. It was already 2:35 in the morning. Did I really just accept the fact that I like Jack. Do I really like him? I'm confused with myself.

Monday morning. At the school bus, I sat alone again. After walking out of the dance, everybody thinks I'm stupid enough for giving up the title and I definitely agree.

"Is that Hansen?"

"If I was her, I wouldn't do what she did at the dance. Seriously, was she even thankful? Ugh."

"She doesn't deserve to get Nod Davis's vote."

I wanted to shrink. I regret the choices I made that night.

When the bus stopped, we all went out and entered the campus. I expected people to stare at me because of that dance dilemma but I didn't expect them to glare at me like I was some kind of alien. The atmosphere seemed different. There was something wrong. Every person I saw were holding pictures and the school paper. What's going on?

When I got to the quad, I noticed pictures hanging all around. I finally decided to check it out. But when I saw what the picture was, I almost passed out.

It was from when Jack took me to that theatre. I was wearing the same dress I wore at the dance. But if you look at the picture more clearly, it looked like we were kissing. No, this is not happening.
