"I heard it too."
"We won't be seeing his pretty face this week." A girl said, pouting.
Wow, these girls are definitely obsessed, I thought. They were just talking about Jack being in Tennessee and his four day suspension.
I was only sitting behind them in the cafeteria and I couldn't avoid listening to their conversation. I bit in to my grilled cheese and rolled my eyes. I don't really understand what's the purpose of knowing Jack's whereabouts. How did the news even get to them in the first place?
"Is somebody sitting here?" A familiar voice said. I lifted my head and saw Hans holding up his tray.
"My imaginary friend." I answered. Please note the sarcasm.
"Oh sorry." Hans moved next to me. "What about here?" He smiled.
I shook my head and sighed. Does this guy actually know the difference between sarcasm and the real thing?
Hans gladly sat next to me. After that, we both sat in silence. I don't know why I'm not in the mood to talk, but Hans seemed like he's been trying to start a conversation.
"Uhm, how's your grilled cheese?" He asked me. He's trying too hard.
"Tastes like cheese." I replied. After that, Hans finally realized that I am in no mood to talk at all. He fell silent and drank up his cola.
"So did your Dad find out about what you did?" I suddenly asked him. All of a sudden, I just want to know.
Hans nodded. "He had to take my camera away."
"What about your sister?" I asked another question.
"Er... She found out about what Fitzherbert's going to do to her if I didn't do his favor." He answered.
"So does that mean she dumped him?"
"She's a hard nut." He suddenly looked at something or someone. I followed his gaze and realized he was looking at a girl who's hair was as red as his. She's currently talking with her friend. She must be his sister.
"She kind of reminds me of Anna." I said.
"Wait, your sister looks like Sara?" He asked me.
"I meant the 'hard nut' part."

"Bingo!" Grandma said as she shoved her bingo card in front of our faces.
"Good game, honey." Grandpa smiled. I just yawned. I can't believe I just played bingo with my grandparents for two solid hours.
"Another round?" Grandpa suggested. Please no.
Grandma looked at me, "Are you up for another game, Jackie-boy?"
I need to escape. "Uhm... Can you guys excuse me for a minute? I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." Yes, good excuse.
"Sure, kiddo!" Grandpa said. I swiftly got up and went inside the bathroom just below the stairs.
I took my phone from my back pocket and quickly dialled Hiccup's number.
"Hello. What's up? Having fun in Nashville?" Hiccup's voice boomed. I quickly turned off the speaker.
"Yeah. I'm having the time of my life." I just said.
