The drive back to the pub consisted mainly of small talk. Amber had restrained herself from mentioning Being Human again, for fear of freaking Aidan out. Aidan just wanted to learn more about this girl. Who she was, where she came from, and why she was here with him now. By the time they approached the pub, Aidan has made up his mind. He wanted her. He truly did.
Amber independently stepped out of the car on her own, and Aidan pouted a bit. Not taking notice of it, Amber ran and burst through the door of the pub, desperate to find her key. Aidan looked around on the curb for it, then eventually walked into the pub after Amber. What he saw surprised him. Amber was sitting in the corner of the pub, her knees pulled up to her chest, and she was crying. Without hesitation, Aidan rushed to her side. "Amber, sweetie, are you alright? Honey?" Aidan implored, placing his hand gently on her shoulder.
