Aidan stepped through the doorway, surprised at what he saw. The entire flat was clean. He expected to find it completely destroyed. Instead, he saw Amber poke her head in from the kitchen and fling herself at him, wrapping him tightly in a hug. "You seem happier when I'm gone," he said, laughing, but secretly wondering what was going on. "No, I just finally got to appreciate how much I miss you when you aren't here," she said happily, releasing him from her hug. "There's coffee in the kitchen," she said, and he eagerly took her up on that.
"So, you missed me, huh?" he asked, sipping his coffee. "Of course! It's like a damn graveyard when you aren't here," she smiled. "I missed you, too," he mumbled under his breath. Amber heard him, but didn't say anything.
Aidan went upstairs to unpack and get situated, before coming back downstairs and sitting next to Amber on the sofa. "So, how was filming?" she asked. "Great. It was really great. Had a lot of fun. Have to go back in a couple of weeks," he said, but he wasn't really paying attention. His eyes had wandered to the coffee table. He leaned over and picked up a DVD case. "Being Human?" he asked, holding it up and looking at Amber.
