It was 10:00 PM at night, Jeremy laid on his bed reading one of his many Manga's. He then started to get this, worried feeling boiling in the pit of his chest. He looked over toward his phone on his nightstand pulling his manga down to his side. He blinked once, twice, the third time he realized that his mother wasn't home yet, she usually comes home around 9:30.
He quickly reached out grabbing his phone and flipped it open scrolling through the contacts and clicked on his mothers contact.
He placed it up to his ear, all he could hear was a ring from the phone waiting for an answer.
Instead it went to voicemail, Jeremy started to panic.
He called not once but at least ten times. The teen finally gave up and placed his phone down. He was hoping with all his heart that his mother had the late shift. Jeremy could feel his heart still beating quickly as he stared at his phone trying to turn his attention toward his manga but just couldn't.

It was an hour until the teens shift started, so he got up and decided to dress in his uniform. He buttoned up the uniform and placed on his hat labeling "Night Watch" then adjusted his tie.
He looked in the mirror and puffed out his chest then chuckled to himself.
A ring then came from the teens phone, he jerked his head around then rushed over toward his phone and quickly flipping it open not even checking to see who it was.
"M-mo-" the teen was cut off from a males voice.
"Mr.Fritzrald?" The man spoke through the phone." U-um... Yes? W-who is this?" The teen asked raising his eyebrow.
"Are you the son of Mrs. Fritzgarald?" The man asked.
"Y-yes... W-what's going on? W-who are you?" Jeremy asked again." We have some bad news..." The man spoke in a low tone.
"W-what...? W-what's happening...?! W-where's my mom?!" Jeremy asked starting to feel his heart pumping and the worried feeling in his chest rising.
"Earlier today around the time 9:00 PM, Mrs. Fritzgarald started coughing sharply then started coughing blood moments later, her coworkers started to take notice and called the ambulance, when they had arrived she was unconscious and her heart rate was slow..." The man explained very detailed.
Jeremy started to feel hot tears fill his eyes as he heard what had happened.
"She is now in the Down Town Central Hospital, the doctors have announced at 10:30 that she was diagnosed with Lung Cancer... I'm sorry Mr. Fritzgarald..." The man spoke again in a low tone.
Jeremy's heart stopped. His whole world came crashing down before his eyes. The moment he heard the word 'Cancer' is when he dropped his phone and dropped to his knees.
He felt hot tears immediately fall down his cheeks onto the hard wood floor. Everything disappeared around the teen. The word Cancer repeated in his mind.
Worst part was that his mom was laying in her deathbed right now, going through cancer. His mom was the only one he could run to or he could cry to. More tears started to fall from his cheeks just the thought of it.
He won't be able to hear her lullabies anymore, he won't hear her sweet and warm voice or feel her warm arms wrap around him. He dug his hands into his face sobbing his eyes out.
He then heard a beep from his watch, totally ignoring it.
Jeremy sat there for a good ten minuets, with burning tears still streaming down his cheeks. He was always known as a cry baby and cried for any reason he could find, this time, he actually had a reason to cry.
He then wiped his tears with his wrist then noticed the time was 11:40 PM on his watch. The teen wiping his tears again then picked up his phone and rushed out of the house with his house key making sure to lock the door.

The moment he arrived, it was 11:55 PM, right on time. The teen panted then entered the pizzeria. The moment he entered, a cold feeling run up his spine giving him goosebumps. His dry tears still stained his puffy eyes and his cheeks, but the cold chill wouldn't go away so he wrapped his arms around he elbows then walked toward the office. As he did he looked over toward the three animatronics, it felt as if he was being watched but they didn't seemed to have moved a single muscle. He shook his head then continued his way toward the light at the end of the dark hallway. As he got closer he saw another figure in the office but then a flash of light hit his eyes. Jeremy gasped then covered his face from the bright light flashing against his eyes.
"Ah! H-hey! W-what was that-" Jeremy was cut off by the light fading away and he could see the figure clearly, it was Mr. Schmidt, sitting behind the desk with an annoyed expression in his face as he saw the teens presence.
Jeremy ignored Mikes rude expression and sat beside him in the chair next to him not saying another word.
"Oh wow, and here I thought you bailed" Mike said as he raised his eyebrow at the teen crossing his arms and placing his legs onto the table leaning back on his chair.
The teen says nothing, all he could think about was his mother in the hospital, if only his coworker could understand.
"Whatever, let's just get this shit over and done with so I can get out of this fucking place and not deal with dumb fucks like you all damn night" Mike retorted snatching the tablet on the table.
"Okay so these fuckers, Fazfuck, Bon bitch and Chica the Slut bag, are gonna come after you and basically try and stuff you in one of those fucking Fazfuck suits" Mike explained as he searched through the cameras with the clock striking to 12 AM.
"W-what...?! S-stuff me i-in a s-suite?!" Jeremy exclaimed in shock as he heard his coworkers words.
Mr. Schmidt rolled his eyes and let out an annoyed sigh,"Yea, stuff you in a suit, now shut up and listen. You gotta check the cameras to see where those fuckers are in the building and you also have to wind the music box so that the creepy ass fucking puppet won't come out of its box. And don't forget to use your flashlight to flash those fuckers away. Also if you happened to fuck up and one of those Fazfucks get in your office put on the Freddy head, Got it?" He asked harshly as he turned toward the teen who looked down at his hands.
"Hello? Are you fucking listening? I ain't gonna tell you this shit twice" Mike retorted again snapping his fingers at the teen. Jeremy flinched then turned toward his coworker with some sweat run down the side of his face.
"O-oh y-yea... S-sorry i-I'm just d-distracted-" he was cut off by a Mikes hand cutting him off." Yea Yea I don't care, just shut up and do your fucking job and leave me out of your business" Mike said harshly having no sympathy in his voice, just a harsh and rude tone.
Jeremy opened his mouth to speak then just looked away grabbing his elbow tightening his grip then reached out and grabbed the music box starting to wind it up.
Silence filled the entire room, the animatronics didn't move around much since it was only the begging of the week. Jeremy couldn't help but want to shed a few tears, all he could think about was his mother going through Cancer. He didn't want to talk about it what so ever but it was hard not to think about it.
He was so focused on the situation he totally forgot about the time.
The clock struck to 6 AM.
Jeremy gasped as he shot his head up toward the clock then looked over to see his coworker placing the tablet down and grabbed his bag leaving into the dark hallway leaving the teen.
Jeremy couldn't even say goodbye to Mr. Schmidt so he just let out a sigh and got up from his seat exiting out of the building. As he looked down while opening the doors of the pizzeria he looks up to see Mr. Schmidt driving away in his car.
Jeremy looked down again letting out a sigh then walks home, now knowing what to expect next.
Right now, his one fear was getting a call saying his mother is dead.
