Ever since Jeremy moved in with his father, things started getting worse and worse by the second. He started to get abused again, bottles of empty beer thrown at him. Jeremy knew it was only a matter of time before he would soon break.
It was a Friday night, 1 in the afternoon it was almost time for work. Jeremy stayed in his room sitting on the unstable mattress day dreaming. His dad gave him all his stuff that was left on his porch but Jeremy felt that if he moved a muscle he'll get in trouble for whatever reason. He sighed then got up and went over toward his door. Jeremy hesitated to even turn the nob but then he heard loud snoring from downstairs and sighed in relief then finally opened the door quietly walking down the stairs and looked over to see his father asleep on the couch with beer bottles on the coffee table and a random channel on the tv. Jeremy then looked over toward the door and quietly stepped toward it, he opened the door and exited the house. Once he did he let out a sigh of relief then decided to walk to the hospital, he luckily had some money on him from his last pay check and decided to go to the flower shop to get his mom some flowers.
After he arrived at the flower shop he bought his moms favorites, roses and sunflowers along with some daisies. Jeremy then headed off to the hospital. He visited his mom whenever he got the chance, basically every day. Jeremy entered the front office and waited patiently letting out a smile , he was happy to see his mom, the doctors said she had been getting a little better. His hopes were high.
"Mr. Fritzgarald...?" The nurse spoke as she came up to the teen. Jeremy lifted his head at the nurse," C-Can I see her now?" Jeremy asked." Well yes bu-" before she could finish Jeremy was already off to her room. He had a bright smile on his face, he couldn't wait to see his mothers sweet and warm smile. When he started to get closer to her room he saw the door peeked open a little bit, strange. He saw the name "Fritgaral" labeled on the door then entered inside.
"Hey Mo-" the teen still had a bright smile on his face ready to greet his mother but was cut off by seeing the curtains open letting the afternoon sun peer through the window and a note on the bed rather then his mother.
Jeremy walked over with his smile already gone and picked up the note.
"Dear Jeremy,
this might be the last letter you will receive from me, but always know that I love you, with all of my heart. I'm sorry that I have to say goodbye like this, but please just know that I love you more then life has to offer.
                        Love always, Mom"
Jeremy's eyes started to fill with burning tears he narrowed his eyes on the empty bed then finally felt wet, and hot tears stream down his cheeks.
"Y-You... You were supposed to get better!" Jeremy cried with tears falling to the flowers he kept close to him. He then fell over on the bed getting to his knees crying onto the sheets tightening his grip onto the sheets with tears falling from his cheeks. The nurse then came in the room and placed her hand on the teens shoulder." I'm sorry Mr. Fritzgarald, I tried to tell you before you came here" the nurse spoke.
Jeremy blocked out her words and kept sobbing onto the blanket. He stayed there for about an hour alone in the room. It wasn't long before he got a call from his phone, he picked it up to see who it was, it was his dad. He hesitated then placed it up to his ear.
"H-hello-"
"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" The man shouted through the phone making Jeremy flinch pulling the phone away from his loud and powerful voice.
"I-I was just v-visiting m-mo-"
"I DONT GIVE TWO FUCKS BOY! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE OR ELSE ILL KILL YOUR SORRY PIECE OF SHIT!"
It was silent right after, his father had hung up. Jeremy closed his phone placing it back in his pocket. He shed his last tear them placed the flowers on the bed and left the room.
He still couldn't believe the fact that his mother was now gone forever, and that there was no way to bring her back. He wiped his watery eyes then exited from the hospital on his way back to hell.
When he arrived he hesitated but opened the door. The moment he looked around he saw his father stomp toward him. Jeremy shivered in fear. His father then grabbed Jeremy by the collar of his shirt and threw him to the ground and started kicking him in the torso." DONT EVER LEAVE THIS HOUSE WITHOUT MY FUCKING PERMISSION AGAIN YOU HEAR ME?!"
Jeremy nodded quickly in response covering his head feeling the bruises on his torso start to swell up.
His father kicked him one last time then walked over him to the other room. Jeremy laid there sobbing quietly to himself in pain. He couldn't get up, well he didn't want to, Jeremy was to afraid to even move another muscle. He eventually got up going to his room when he heard loud snoring from the other room. He shut his door then sighed walking over to his mattress. He lifted his wrist seeing the time was 5:34 PM. Jeremy looked down then looked over toward one of the boxes in the corners and looked at one of the boxes labeled "Bathroom Supplies" then walked over towards it. He opened it up and dug his hand through until he felt a plastic bag then pulled it out. He lifted it up looking at the tiny, yet sharp object in the bag. A voice then occurred in his ear.
"What are you waiting for...? Go on... Take It... You two used to be so close..." The voice spoke into Jeremy's ear. He shook his head," N-No...! N-not this time...!". Jeremy then dropped the bag in the box and closed it up walking back to his mattress. He was tired, almost restless but eventually fell asleep.
'Beep'
'Beep'
'Beep'
Jeremy opened up his eyes slowly looking at the time, it was 11:30 PM.
'Oh no! I-I'm gonna be late!'
He then quickly got up then rushed over to his box of neatly folded clothes then searched through the box.
He finally found his uniform then quickly got dressed. By the time he was done it was 11:46. Jeremy waisted no time and rushed down stairs.
Before he could leave his father shouted his name."JEREMY!"
He flinched then turned around toward his dad who was stomping toward him." Where on the fuck are you going" he asked harshly.
"I-I have to g-go t-to w-work sir..." Jeremy said timidly starting to shake." You? Work?" His father spoke laughing right after.
"Such a joke! Who would hire your worthless ass?!"
Jeremy said nothing looking down." LOOK AT ME WHEN I TALK TO YOU!" His father said as he slapped Jeremy's face hard." Get your useless ass out of my house before I make you" His father threatened. Jeremy held his cheek then rushed out of the house.
He ran not even looking back until he finally arrived at the pizzeria. He lifted his watch and saw it was 12:03. Jeremy gasped and rushed inside the pizzeria. He saw Bonnie already leaving the stage then shook his head rushing to the office. He saw the light at the end of the hallway almost tripping himself.
"Fucking hell finally your here!" Mike spoke as he saw the teen panting and sitting down in his seat catching his breath.
"The hell took you so long?" Mike asked as he looked at the teen.
It took a moment for Jeremy to catch his breath but finally spoke." I-I woke up l-late..." Jeremy said as he told a lie.
"That's new, whatever lets just get started and survive from these fucker- wait... What happened to your lip?" Mike said before looking away then noticed the teens lip and raised his eye brow.
Jeremy started growing pale," U-um what about it?" He asked timidly trying not to spill the beans.
" Your lip is bleeding kid, what happened did you get in a fight or something?" Mike pointed out to the teen." O-oh, didn't notice I g-guess, I-I ran into the door w-while I-I was leaving" Jeremy responded crossing his fingers hoping Mike wouldn't talk about the situation anymore." Uh okay? You ain't lying to me are you?" Mike asked looking straight at the teens pale face and shakes hands." N-no! Never! Y-Your m-my f-friend I wouldn't l-lie to you..." Jeremy responded again looking at his coworker with sweat running down the side of his face.
Mike squinted his eyes almost like a glare at the teen then let out a sigh of defeat and looked back at the tablet. Jeremy also let out a sigh under his breath then reached for the music box and started winding it up.
The animatronics were a lot more active as expected, Jeremy on the other hand was day dreaming about his mother, how the bed was empty with the note safely on the pillow. She was gone, gone forever.
Gone...
Gone...
Forever...
"Jeremy!" Mike yelled at the teen snapping his fingers. Jeremy flinched letting out a gasp." Ah! W-what what's h-happening a-are they coming?!" Jeremy exclaimed as he grabbed the flashlight flashing it in the hallway in alarm.
"Ugh, no idiot the Music Box!" Mike told the teen.
Jeremy blinked then heard the music playing and quickly wound it up." S-sorry! Sorry sorry s-sorry!" Jeremy spoke snaking his own face feeling stupid.
"It's fine but you gotta stop day dreaming like that, it might get us killed next time"
Jeremy nodded in response then focused on his job trying not to get sidetracked. It was hard not to despite everything that's been happening. With his mother now, gone, it was hard to focus on anything anymore.

The only person he ever cherished in his life, now gone, and never coming back.
