Weeks past feeling like months, Jeremy started staying at Mikes apartment since the kid had no where else to go except his fathers house which was a big no no. They were planning to go and get the rest of Jeremy's things but that had to wait for reasons. Mike has been talking to a certain someone for the past couple of weeks and going out more often leaving Jeremy to clean after his messy ass. Jeremy didn't mind it, he was more concerned about where Mike was always going. So as any concerned friend would, he asked.
"Okay Jere I'll be right back Bye-" Mike was cut off by a tug on his arm then turned behind him to see Jeremy.
"W-wait... C-can I ask you something f-first..?" Jeremy asked ever so politely. Mike looked back at the door then groaned and looked back at the teen pulling his arm away from Jeremy's grasp." Fine, but make it quick" Mike spoke.
"W-where are y-you always g-going...?" Jeremy asked in a sweet tone like the innocent soul he is.
" Okay, okay... So lately I've been, seeing my really old and only friend since high school, named Doll, I bumped into her when I went out for a coffee one day and we've been talking and meeting up ever since... And hehe I'm planning on asking her to be my, boyfriend today" Mike explained having a smirk and a flush of pink appear on his face.
Jeremy stood there, unaware of how to react to this. He wanted to scream at Mike because he thought he didn't matter to the him anymore. But he just kept standing there saying nothing.
"Alright I gotta go, wish me luck" Mike said as he exited the apartment." Y-yea... G-good luck" Jeremy said in a low and upset tone. He couldn't understand, what these emotions that we're building up inside him were. He shook his head making his fluffy hair move around making his hair messy then walked back in the living room with clean clothes on the couch.
Jeremy was about to fold each of them but then thought, what could possibly be going on between them? He looked over toward the door but then shook his head, if he's happy then Jeremy's happy, but in reality he wasn't happy about this at all. He finally placed the piece of cloth he had in his hands then grabbed his jacket walking out of the apartment.
The sky was cloudy covering the sun, Jeremy ignored it and saw Mike just driving out of the parking lot. Jeremy quickly followed, despite the fact that he can't keep up with a car. He remembers what Mike said,
'I bumped into her when I went out for a coffee one day and we've been meeting up ever since'
Jeremy then knew where to go and went to the coffee shop near the apartment.
When he arrived he stopped to catch his breath then lifted his head up and saw the familiar truck in the driveway. Jeremy waisted no time and walked over toward the coffee shop only a few feet away.
He walked beside Mikes truck then put his hoodie on and looked through the window of the coffee shop seeing Mike and Doll he was talking about who had light black hair, a t-shirt with jeans and a jacket wrapped around her waste having the brightest smile toward Mike as he sat in front of her also having the biggest smile. Jeremy looked down holding his arm tightening his grip then looked up again toward the two. His eyes widened letting out a gasp. He saw Mike leaning closer toward the girl putting his hand against her cheek, both of them staring straight through each other's gaze. Their lips met. They looked as if they were enjoying every moment of the kiss.
Jeremy's heart broke in two.
He felt as if someone just stabbed him right in the heart. That feeling was awful, that feeling that was boiling in the pit of his chest. Jeremy waisted no time watching the two and ran out of the parking lot running on the sidewalk somewhere, away from there.
During the process Jeremy tripped and scrapped his knee on the hard ground. He sat up and brought his scrapped knee close to his chest looking at his knee with blood dripping down his leg. He bit his lip from his knee stinging. Jeremy sat there for a moment trying to clean his wound then put his pants sleeve down then got up limping toward the bus stop a few feet away from where he was.
He sat down once he arrived then brought his wounded knee up to his chest lifting his pants sleeve up and looked at it again bitting his lip. He sighed and put his knee down looking down. He had no money so he got up still limping toward a local park. When he arrived he sat on the bench and sighed putting his hands in his jacket sleeves. He didn't understand what this stupid feeling was toward the two.
Was this, Jealousy? No it couldn't be, why would he jealous? Well they were good friends and you never know, one day Mike might just leave Jeremy out of the blue. That's what made Jeremy pout and bring his knees into his jacket and putting his arms into his jacket like what he did when he was a child when he was upset. He felt the wind blow through his fluff hair and little whispers begin to occurs in his ear.
A black figure appeared beside Jeremy.
"Well Jeremy my boy, how you been? Awe what's wrong? You look as if all your dreams came crashing down" the sinister voice spoke in his ear with his wide grin on his face.
Jeremy rolled his eyes,"L-leave me alone... Y-you know n-nothing..." He said starting to get up walking away.
"It's a nice day for a walk, mind if I join you?" The voice asked walking beside Jeremy with his tall slender body straightened up putting his hand around Jeremy's shoulder.
Jeremy slapped his hand away putting his hands in his pocket.
"D-Do what you w-want to do j-just leave me alone..." Jeremy spoke harshly.
"Good cause I'm going to" the voice responded. Jeremy rolled his eyes and walked at a faster pace but the figure kept keeping up with him like his shadow.
"L-look just c-cause I'm u-upset doesn't mean y-you need to make it w-worse..." Jeremy replied starting to loose his patience.
"Well it's your mind, you brought this to yourself" the voice spoke again walking with Jeremy who was trying to walk away.
This was a nightmare, God please let this end!
