CLARY POV
"Owww!" I yelled in my head as Izzy's black bedazzled brush tore through my hair.
"Quit your whining, we only have 4 hours until the party and we've only done hair and makeup!!" She scolded, pinning a lock of red fire behind my ear.
Before I could even respond, she shouted,"Done!!", and put her hands up. I turned towards the mirror and gazed at the totally different looking person. She had dark, blood lips, a deep smokey eye and red hair in a complicated twist having a strand purposely left undone. "Wow!" I Breathed! "I know! And wait until Jace sees you in this!" She said, taking a dress from behind her back. It was see through black, with a red dress underneath. It was high above my knee and had thick straps running on my shoulders. "Oh-ok!" I murmured, walking to the bathroom. When I step out, Isabelle squeals. Tonight is going to be a good night!
JACE POV
Isabelle told us we were going to one on Magnus Bane's crazy pool party's. Great! I have no idea what to wear, so I threw on a dark v-neck and black swim trunks that had weapon slots built into the sides. Just in case! I just hope there are no rouge downworlders. That can ruin a guys night!
"Jace, are you ready?" I hear from the foyer. "I'll be down in a sec!" I shouted back. I grabbed my phone, wallet and shoved a couple of seraph blades and daggers into my shorts. "Coming!"
NO ONE POV
Clary, Isabelle, Alec and Simon stood in the foyer, dressed up with bags packed. The girls decided to bring bathing suits instead of wearing them.
The boys just put theirs on because they looked like shorts anyway.
The crew had been waiting for 10 minutes in the foyer for Jace.
"Where the hell could he have gone?" Alec swore, looking at his watch and adding," We are already late!"
As if on cue, a thunder of foot steps came from the stairs and a tall figure for them to belong to. He was dressed in all black with sunglasses hanging from his shirt. "Ready to go!" He shouted. Clary smiled and walked up to him. She placed a light kiss on his cheek and said," Ready!"
ON WAY THERE
Simon and Isabelle were walking hand
in hand, Alec had his thumbs in his pockets and was whistling and Jace had his arm around Clary's shoulder as she hugged him from the side. "You look beautiful, Clare." Jace whispered in Clary's ear as they reached the oversized loft. "You don't look so bad yourself, Herondale!" Clary said, this time louder, back. He smirked and before he could say anything about him always looking good, Clary pressed her lips to his. She jumped a little to reach him, making him chuckle and her blush. "That was cute!" He laughed and pulled her into his side. Clary shook her head and followed their friends to the pool.
"HEY MY FAVORITE SHADOWHUNTERS!" Magnus yelled from across the huge yard.
"Well hi to you to!" Jace mumbled under his breath making Clary laugh.
" Hi Magnus!" Alec cheerfully said, walking over to his boyfriend. Soon they disappeared into the party scene.
"I'm going to get some drinks, anyone want?" Simon asked taking Izzy's hand. When no one replied, they were off.
"Clary, do you want to dance?" Jace asked Clary who was looking uncomfortably around. "That would be lovely!" She replied and grabbed his hand.
