Fawn's POV

The guards escorted us into the 'Witherium Kingdom', which was what the wither skeletons called their kingdom. Honestly, I would think they would call it something classic like 'The Wither Kindgom', but, they are the citizens of the kingdom.

We walked into the kingdom, and to say truthfully, it looked like the normal Nether. The ground was covered in netherack, with nether brick pathways. I could see Wither Skeletons walking along the street, making clicking sounds wherever they walked. I could see street merchants waving to visitors and swinging their goods from the hands, varying from netherwart to blaze rods. I shivered in disgust, and wondered if they either collected them, or worse; killed the blazes for them.

I looked toward the back and saw the rest of the group huddled together. Apparently, I was the only one who was headstrong, which is rather disappointing, considering all we've been through. Sparrow was fiddling with his hair and was mumbling something I think was "Wither Pie" Cara and Daisy were talking to each other in a whispered tone and glancing toward me and flashing a smile every once in a while Kai walked slowly alone, observing everything in the realm and trying to start a conversation with the nearby Wither Skeletons.

"So, how long has this realm been here?" I asked the first guard who spoke.

"A around a thousand years at most." the skeleton replied broadly. "Herobrine came a while after."

"But how come Herobrine is the ruler of the Nether, and not you?" I said. "I mean, weren't you dominant of the Nether in one point of time?"

"Yes, but that was before the Wither King arrived." the skeleton explained. "You see, our king had died a couple years ago, and when Herobrine came, well, we didn't exactly have a leader. It takes around a hundred years for the new Wither to be fully grown, and by that time, Herobrine already had armies at his disposal. Any attack we would make against Herobrine would end in bloodshed. So with that thought in mind, the current Wither King went to Herobrine and declared a peace treaty. We wouldn't attack them, as long as they didn't attack us."

The second Wither Skeleton laughed lightly. "Even though we are a small army, when we're together, we've been known the cut a bloody number down. It's just the way it works!"

Sparrow whispered quietly to himself and then spoke up. "How come your kingdom is so developed?"

"What do you mean by that?" the Wither Skeleton asked.

"I mean, since your kingdom is so isolated from anyone in general, how come you haven't died off yet?" Sparrow clarified.

"Well, that's a mighty fine question to ask, sir. But I'm afraid I can't answer that."

"Huh, why not?" Sparrow asked.

"You know how the Wither requires three Wither skulls to be reborn?" the skeleton said.

"Yeah?" Sparrow answered.

"Well, every time a Wither is born, the citizens are reborn as well. New Wither are always coming, and of course, after a certain amount of reborniness, they die as well."

"Umm, how does that even work?" Kai asked. Cara and Daisy also looked intently at the skeletons, wishing for an answer.

"I supposed you have to meet with the king himself." the skeleton grinned. "Here we are!"

"I'll go and check when the King can meet with these," the skeleton paused. "Travelers."

"Sure thing." the skeleton standing closer to us said. After the skeleton went in, the skeleton nodded to the rest of the guards and slumped in happiness.

Another skeleton stepped out from behind the guards, and I could guess that it was around eight or nine years old. It still had a childish smirk to its face, but growing maturity edged his face.

"I guess you'll follow Leonard." the skeleton next to us said. "He'll being showing you around town."

"Thanks Mr...." Daisy said, pausing before the last part. "What's your name?"

"Jeffery." the skeleton said, turning away from us and looking toward the castle longingly. "Now go, enjoy the hospitality of Witherium!"

Done! ;D Leonard will play a key part later into the book, so don't dismiss him as a minor character yet! Sorry I hasn't said much lately, I've been really tired lately for some random reason. Anyways, keep smiling creeper!
