Fawn's POV
I felt the hot air cover my entire body, and look at the Nether castle. I sighed. Who knew that Sparrow would be the one to betray us? I'd believed that he was one of the best people in our group, but Angel had hinted that someone would betray us.
"What's wrong?" someone asked, and I turned around to see Magmar sitting next to me. His wings were folded across his back, and he looked at me with a fierce stare. "Wait, someone thing happened with Sparrow, didn't it."
"How do you guess?" I grumbled, picking up a magma stone and chucking it far off into the distance. "You have telepathy?"
"Nah, I'm just good at reading someone's face." Magmar said. "Speaking of which, it's 7, so should we start our discussion?"
"Sure." I said. "By the way, shouldn't you be saying this all through your head?"
"I prefer saying it through my voice, you see." Magmar said. "Otherwise, everyone would thing I'm some stupid dragon who can't speak a single word out of my mouth.
"Okay then..." I said. "Well, this was nice-"
"Wait, you're not staying any longer?" Magmar asked, grabbing my arm with his talons.
"Ok, fine, I'll stay a bit longer." I said, wincing as I pried Magmar's claws off of my arm. "What's your plan to stop Notch?"
"Finally, you've come to your senses." Magmar said excitedly. "Here, get on my back."
"Why?" I asked. "I mean, can't we get Angel?"
"You mean your pet dragon?" Magmar said. "Sure."
"Here, I'll go get Angel quick, and you stay here." I said. "I think that if I wanted to even ride on you, I'd be burned to a crisp."
"I see that logic." Magmar said, "Fine, go get Angel, but hurry, I want to get to the meeting on time."
"What meeting?" I asked.
"Just go get Angel." Magmar hissed, poking me with his claw.
"Fine!" I said. "No need to be pushy!"
I started to walk toward the castle, but Magmar started to fly behind me and started to shoot spurts of flame, and next thing I knew, I was running toward the castle. I took a quick look around before looking at Magmar. He knew he should stay outside, and curled up into a ball, looking like a mound of netherrack. Then I ran into the castle, and crouched near an alcove.
"Angel, are you awake?" I asked.
"Yeah, of course. I heard you come in." Angel said.
"Meet me outside." I said, "And hurry."
"Y'know, I'm literally standing right next to your new lava friend dragon." Angel said, and I snapped out of my thoughts.
I started to head back outside, and was immediately met by a Wither Skeleton.
"What are you doing up at these hours, Miss?" he asked.
"I was taking a walk." I replied cooly, trying to ignore the beads of sweat forming on my neck. "There's no problem with that."
"Ok then." the guard said, looking at me once more. The guard then disappeared around a corner, and I listened until I knew that the skeleton was gone. Not wanting to risk anymore time, I teleported outside to see Angel and Magmar sitting right next to each other.
Magmar looked bored, and was filing his claws with a piece of obsidion. He took a quick glance at me, and then continued to file his claws. Meanwhile, Angel couldn't look any more nervous than he looked now. His tail was swinging restlessly, and the familiar tapping with claws showed how uncomfortable he was sitting next to Magmar.
"Are we all ready to go?" I asked, and Magmar and Angel nodded in unison.
I climbed onto Angel's back, and held onto the spines on his back to hang on. Magmar looked at Angel reproachfully, but then started to flap his wings, indicating he was ready to go.
"You guys have to trust me, because there is one more portal that you do not know about." Magmar said, "And I'm the only one who actually knows where it's located."
I looked at Angel, who nodded anxiously. Magmar smiled, grinning from one side of his face to the other, and hot currents of wind flew under and over us as the two dragons started to take off.
We were ready.
