Fawn POV
I stepped out of the portal and examined my surroundings. I was in the plains, and sure enough, I heard a horse nicker next to me. A brown horse with white spots looked at me with a curious gaze, and I fed it an apple. Immediately, hearts appeared around the horse, and I saddled onto it.
"Fawn, wait up!" I heard someone yell, and took a look at a kid with electric green hair waving at me frantically. A creeper tattoo decorated his right shoulder, and an emerald sword was strapped to his side. If I didn't know any better, I would say he was sent by the Creeper King himself.
As the boy ran toward me, I instinctively drew my obsidian sword and he stopped. Smart, if I do say so. I stepped down from my horse, and looked at the boy warily.
"How do you know my name?" I finally said.
"Well, you kinda are a big deal." he said. "Name's David."
"Ok, David.." I said. "Why were you waving me down?"
"Oh, just wanted to tell you your friends have been kidnapped by Notch, and are being held prisoner!" David said quickly, blowing a strand of hair out of his eye.
"Yargh!" I yelled, stamping my foot hard on the ground and throwing my sword at David, which it missed by a couple inches. His eyes widened and he slowly backed away.
"Don't worry, " I said, yanking Serphentise out of the ground. "It just sooooooooooo annoying whenever Notch does something like that. It's irritating, like, a lot!
"I know, I know." David repeated. "But you're not getting anyway by having temper tantrums, you little baby."
"Argh!" I yelled again. "If it weren't for the fact you were a creeper hybrid, you'd be lying in a pool of blood!"
"Well, I'm not, am I?" David argued, and whistled loudly. A midnight black horse answered his call and he saddled up onto it. "It's best we get going."
"Who said you were leader?" I said, saddling up onto my own horse.
"Ever since you lost your friends?" he asked. "Besides, the longer we spend arguing, who knows what could be happening with Notch."
"I suppose.." I muttered to myself. "We best get moving.. But after that, you leave."
"Sure." he murmured. His hair in a moment's "Duck!"
"What?" I said, startled. "Huh-"
I was pulled down into a hole in the ground. Before a second's time, I ducked as David placed a block of dirt above us. As we were trapped underneath the dirt, I heard the voice that must have startled David.
"Hero said she was somewhere here."
"Hey, look, there's two horses with saddles!"
"Come over here!"
I clutched the scepter of the Wither King closer to my chest. Although they said that they were with Herobrine, there was no way I could trust anyone now. As though David was listening to my thoughts, he handed a telescope looking thing to me.
"It's a spyscope. It can look through any solid object, and show you what's behind it. Something I raided."
I pulled the spyscope up to my eye and peered through the hole. I saw two Wither skeletons, and a ghast hovered protectively above them. Was that- Netherfalls! And I thought I remembered seeing one of the skeletons guard Hero before. Must be the Royal Guard. I had to get out of this hole.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" David said as I shoveled the dirt out of the way. "You'll get us caught!"
I looked deep into his emerald green eyes and stared for a long moment.
"Trust me." I said quietly. "I promise we won't
And so I walked out of the dirt, pushing off specks and approached the group. Immediatly, they turned around and I was greeted with cheers and joy.
"Fawn, we need to get to the Nether. Fast." Netherfalls said urgently.
"I',m coming with you." David said, walking toward us. "Never know when you'll need an expert swordsman!"
"Fine." I grumbled.
I turned to the rest of the group and clapped to get their attention.
"Cmon then, let's get a move on!" I shouted, and we sat on Netherfalls while we flew to the Nether.
