I rode to Sammie's house early in the morning and was determined to apologize for how I've been acting. When I arrived at the house, I honked the horn, and she came out.

"Omg, did you see the picture of you on the school web?" Sammie exclaimed, sounding excited. I groaned as she opened the car door.

"Why are you upset? Chris Parker wants to know who you are. Isn't that a good thing?"

"I thought I took it off last night," I frowned, hoping that I had pushed the delete button yesterday.

"Well, it did disappear when I tried to show it to Carmen, but I had seen the picture earlier in the day," Sammie said thoughtfully. Carmen was her older sister, so she probably wanted to brag that her best friend was on the school webpage.

"Can we just pretend like that didn't happen? Hopefully not many people saw the picture," I scowled, driving into the school parking lot.

But the exact opposite occurred.

Matt's POV

When I get to school, I plan on talking to Katie. I need to tell her that I never meant to make her uncomfortable during the math tutoring. Its just hormones acting up.

"Can I ask you a question?"

I turned at the voice and saw Brandi looking at me, eyes filled with doubt. I slammed my locker door shut and moved my backpack on my shoulder.

"Sure, what is it?"

"Well, I just wanted to ask why you gave Chris Parker the picture of Katie Marlon," Brandi said slowly, glancing around the hallway at people who weren't paying attention.

"What do you mean? I never gave him a picture of her. In fact, that drawing was private!" But then I groaned, remembering that I left the picture of Katie in Art Room, which Chris Parker go to after football practice for community service. So he must've seen the picture and needed it for some reason.

"Why did he use the picture?"

"All I know is that he talked to her and never got her name. So he wants to know who she is, for some reason," Brandi said. Then she walked away.

"Let me see what this is all about," I whispered under my breath. I logged into the school website on my phone and went to the home page. "Where is it?" I searched for the picture but couldn't find it.

Katie must've done something to her picture. She is smart, I have to say. But why would she not want anyone to see it? It would be an honor is Chris Parker wanted to meet you.

Katie's POV

A couple of people were talking about the drawing, but I told them not to say anything about me to Chris. I even bribed them with a free lunch and a couple of bucks. It worked. I just hope he won't come looking for me. In fact, sometimes Chris Parker scares the guts out of me.

"I need to talk to you for a second," a voice said, pulling me into the janitors closet.

"What the h--" I was cut off by rough hands on my mouth. I fumbled till I found the light switch, and when I turned it on, I was staring at familiar emerald eyes.
