Sammie's POV
When I drove home with Katie today, I noticed how sad she looked. Is it because of the Matt thing? You know, I have a feeling that she's in love with someone else. I mean, why else would she skip school to be with Chris Parker?
"So . . . anything you want to talk about?" I asked Katie. She took a sharp turn and I yelped, my hip bumping into the car door.
"No, Sammie, I'm perfectly fine," she growled. When she turned on the intersection, I asked her to slow down.
"Why are you upset? Please, calm down, Katie," I gently said, reaching out to pat her arm. She jerked away and took her hand off the wheel for a second.
That second was all it took for us to crash, and for me to see black.
