"Nice work, Hood. If you maintain your work ethic and intensity, I could definitely see one of the MLS scouts choosing you for a player," Coach praises, patting me on the back as I get my bag together. I smile.
"Thanks, Coach. You really think I have a chance?" I ask him, pushing my sweaty hair out of my eyes.
"Definitely."
I beam, and walk over to go grab my ball. It's been a long practice, and I'm sweating in the blazing Brazil heat. I peel my shirt off my sticky body. It was clinging and soggy anyways. I teach the goal post where my ball should've been, only to see its not there. What?
