DEAN POV
Baby's engine roared as I stepped on the gas. I gripped the steering wheel tight as I thought about the last time I saw Catherine.
"Don't fucking touch me... Keep him away from me... You lied to me... I mean nothing to him..."
She was wrong. She was everything to me. Sure, I fucked up. Bad. I fucked up bad, okay? But she was everything to me. I was happy around her. I just wish that I wouldn't have cheated on her. Or walked away from her at the park. I wish I'd gone on every fucking ride with her, just to see her laugh and smile. But I only made her cry. And it's my fucking fault that she was taken. I wish I could do it all differently. But I'm a dumbass, and now here I am, driving to kingdom come just to find her.
I had to be driving for an hour or so, but it felt like a fucking eternity. I tried hard not to think about what they could've done to her in the couple hours that they had her. Just after I saw the place where they took her, I hoped into the car and drove everywhere. I asked every soul if they saw her, but they all gave me the same answer: no. Every place was a dead end and I was getting worried. What would they do to her? What if they fucking touched her? I gripped the steering wheel harder as I pictured his hands on her... If he touched her, I swear to fucking God...
The ringing of my phone interrupted my thoughts. Maybe it's Catherine! I quickly reached for it, and looked at the caller ID. I had hoped for her name, but instead it was Sam's. Maybe he found her? I answered it, and put it to my ear.
"Sam, did you find her-" I started, but he interrupted me.
"Dean, get here quick." He ordered. What? What happened?
"Why? What happened?" I pressed.
"She's back," he answered with concern in his voice. Oh no. She has to be hurt.
I slammed on the breaks, and Baby stopped. The screeching of the tires screamed as I turned Baby around and pressed on the gas.
I ran to the door and didn't even knock. I opened the door to Sam's room and breathed, "Where is she-"
That's when I saw her. She was lying on the bed on her back with her eyes closed. There was blood everywhere and her face was bruised and bloodied, but somehow I still found her fucking gorgeous as shit. She was hurt. What if she's... dead? I froze in my actions as I stared at her. Sam was sitting next to her in a chair with a lot of concern on his face. It was the most concern I had seen from him. He looked back at me and we exchanged concerned glances before he got up and walked over to me.
"Is she-," I asked as I stared at her. I just hoped she wasn't gone. I can't lose her.
"No, no," Sam answered and I let out a breath of relief, "but she was beaten and stabbed. She's bleeding bad, Dean."
I walked past Sam and sat in the chair he was sitting in. There was a gash in her side; it tore her blank tank top open. There was dry blood under her nose, her lip was cut, and she had bruises on both sides of her face. There was a long cut across her chest that looked like it fucking hurt like hell. I'm going to fucking kill this guy... I took her hand in mine. It was cold and her wrists were bruised by whatever it was they tied her up in. She looked dead, but I could see the breaths she was taking.
"I'm so sorry, Kitty," I told her even though she probably couldn't hear me, "I should've never left. I should've never touched that girl. I should've never said those things. I didn't mean any of it, baby. I'm sorry." I placed my other hand on her cheek as a tear escaped my eye. I bowed my head as I said, "This is all my fault." I felt Sam's hand on my shoulder and I looked up at him. He looked concerned and worried as he looked down at me.
"Hey, she's going to be okay. We'll call Cas and he'll come over and heal her. It's going to be okay, Dean. She's going to be okay," he assured himself and me. I let out a sigh as I looked at her beautiful bruised face again.
"You need to wake up because I can't do this without you, Catherine."
That's when I felt her hand lightly squeeze mine. My heart leapt and I looked at her hand then her face. Her eyes opened a little and she looked at me. Although she was in pain, she smiled.
"Hey, Bean." She mumbled. I smiled and squeezed her hand.
"Hey, Kitty."
"Have I entered an alternate universe or did you just crack a smile for me?" she smiled. I chuckled. Although she was delirious, she was here with me. It seemed at that moment that she forgot all that happened to her, and she was just happy. She forgot about what I did to her. She was happy. I just wish it didn't have to take someone torturing her to get her there.
A huge smile grew on her face, and then she closed her eyes again. I suddenly thought I was losing her.
"Hey! Hey! Catherine!" I exclaimed as I tried to get her back, "If you die, I'm going to kill you." She didn't open her eyes, though. I was losing her. No.
"Castiel! Get your feathered ass here, now!" I yelled. I heard a 'whoosh' and there he was. He stood in front of the bed, his eyes staring at her in disbelief.
"What happen-" he started, but I didn't let him finish.
"Dammit Cas! Less talky-talky more heally-heally!" I ordered him. He obeyed after giving me a confused look and walked over to where I was sitting. I sat up and got out of his way and he took my place. I watched in concern next to Sam as Cas placed his entire palm on her forehead. Cas closed his eyes and after a second, took his hand away.
