"Tyler, Tyler you need to come help me, God please...," Josh paced around the dark room dialing and re-dialing Tyler's number who hasn't been replying in a while. Josh's hands trembled as he tried not to look at all the blood covering them. He ran one of them through his hair and looked down at the crippled body beneath him. The phone finally began buzzing and he quickly picked it up.
"What's going on--," Tyler began but Josh interrupted.
"Please, please come help me. I--I made a mistake. There was an accident, please...," Josh continued blubbering and Tyler quickly discerned the panic in Josh's voice and after finding out where he was, sped off to help his friend.
Josh continued pacing, refusing to turn on the light. There was a knock on his door and he quickly went to the front and let in Tyler, who was breathlessly leaning towards the door.
"What happened?!" Tyler demanded and then followed Josh further into the house. He finally flipped on the lights and saw what was the body of a young man. It was in the middle of the bedroom. He was wearing a black hoodie and a black balaclava. Tyler's hands covered his face and he slowly squatted down, using the wall as support.
"What did you do?" Tyler slowly whispered and looked up at his friend. Josh's hands were in his hair, smearing the blood into it and onto his skin.
"I--I don't know...he--he just appeared...," Josh continued stuttering, going into near hysteria. Tyler got up and shook him by the shoulders, yelling into his face, "Tell me what you did!"
"He broke in Tyler! He, he had a gun and then we fought and--and I don't know!" Josh broke down and began whimpering. The dead man before him was slowly becoming a stark reality and he was completely unaware of how to deal with it.
"I didn't mean to! I didn't mean to!" Josh began crying louder and Tyler put his forehead to Josh's and tried to calm him down. His brain was at a loss but they needed a solution, fast.
"I didn't know who to call, but I called you first, maybe we call the police now." Josh said, slowly backing away out of the room, being unable to be so close to the corpse.
"No, no, no...," Tyler shook his head and acknowledged the idea that was creeping into his mind. It wasn't the greatest solution, it was extremely dangerous and there would be repercussions that would destroy them both. But right now they needed to salvage their label and they needed to clean up this mess immediately.
"Ok, here is what we do. Are you listening to me?" Tyler grabbed Josh's head with his hands and looked him in the eyes.
"We are not going to the police. We are not telling anyone. We are dumping the body into the Ohio River and we're going home. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
Josh's eyebrows furrowed in confusion but then he began wiping his eyes and his face. He nodded; there weren't any more options.
"It's going to be okay Josh. This was just a freak accident, it's okay. We'll be okay." Tyler gave his friend a tight hug and closed his eyes. He was going to fix this. A dead man wasn't going to get in the way of their music. Nothing was getting in their way.
