I don't know how Jake and Mr. Arrogant worked out their food saga but I hoped it worked out well. The office have been tense and quiet lately since Mr. McKnight came in office. Even Mrs. Francis was tense.
Truth is, even I was. I'm even afraid to go on the top floor when he's in office. Its 5pm and my shift ends. I walked to the locker room to get myself out of these sweaty clothes. Adrian was here. He's the exterior windows wiper. His job is the coolest. Being able to ride the crane and wipe windows 6000 ft high!
"Hey Adrian." I smiled warmly at him. And he smiles back showing his dimples. He's very handsome I must say. He's older than me-about seven years or so.
I went to my locker and open it with a sigh.
"Tough day?" He asked
"Tell me about it."
"Yeah. You'll get over it." He chuckles.
"Was your day OK?" I asked him.
He scoffs, "yeah sure it was. Wiping windows is very easy!"
"Oh, wow. Your the lucky one."
"I was being sarcastic." He laugh.
"Ha ha, you caught me there." I grinned. "I can help out sometimes."
Adrian stare at me as if I'm crazy.
"What?" I asked with a puzzled look."You actually wanna go on the crane 8000 square ft high and wipe windows?"
"Eight? I thought it was six."
"Its eight."
"Well yeah. I'm not afraid of heights or anything."
He began to laugh.
"Stop laughing. I'm serious. I'd like to do it. I'm afraid of heights a little... Well alot- I just wanna do things I've never done before. I just wanna take a risk."
He roll his eyes. "OK, ok. But if anything happen to you, its your funeral. I'll be back next Thursday. I'll show you how its done." He smile.
I feel my eyes light up and my smile reach to my ears. "Really?!! Thank you Adrian."
"Yeah. See you next week, Vicky." He winked at me and pull his bag on his shoulder.
"Its Kerry not Vicky. The evil, arrogant old lady calls me that. I just wanna hit her and tell her to stop!"
"Oh... I didn't know that." He smirks and head for the door. He stops and turned to me. "By the way, the evil arrogant old Lady is my mom." He whispers then step through the door.
"Holy macaroni!" He's gonna tell!
