"And that's how you calculate converting grams to moles in a molecular substance. Now that's the end of the lesson for today, I have graded all of your tests from the last time I saw you guys. I will be passing these back." Yes, I love getting my test back! it's such a thrilling experience, not for me, but seeing other people's scores.

Ms. Dori begins to walk around the classroom with a stack of graded test papers in her hand. I look around and try to get a glimpse of everyone's papers.

Danny of course got a B again.... Maddy got a C- that's because she was sick... Riley got an A, impressive.

I get more and more excited as she begins to get closer and closer to my desk. Finally she stands before me and hands me my test.

"Not a surprising score mr. McLoughlin, keep up the good work." I turn over my test. It reveals that I scored a 42/40, just as I predicted, 105%. i'm sure mom will be satisfied hearing about this. I lean back in my chair, proud at my accomplishment, I continue looking around and everyone's test scores.

Arin got a B+, tragic.... Kevin got an A, good for him.... Lucy got an F, well that's what happens when you don't pay attention.

Another test score i'm awaiting to see is Mark's score. He's a boy that sits right next to me in a good majority of my classes, the teachers do this thinking my good influence will rub off on him, but I think it's because they know he won't talk to me.

Mark i'll admit is a fairly attractive male. He has red dyed hair shaved on the sides to reveal some of his raven black hair, he has tanned skin and he makes my skin tone look like paper, he also has glasses. He always wears his black beanie, his wardrobe i'm pretty sure is only T-shirts and jeans in a variety of colors, and he always wears the same pair of black converse. From what I could tell, Mark is a very nice person and is willing to drop everything and help you if you need it.

Ms. Dori finally hands him his test, I look from the corner of my eye as he begins to flip over his test paper. 28/40, I calculate the number in my head and he got an even 70%, average. He sits back in his chair and smiles at himself like he accomplished something astonishing, if he lived in my house, he wouldn't be smiling.

McLoughlin Family Grading Scale:
A= A good grade (nothing happens)
B= Bad (grounded for a day)
C= Crappy (grounded for a week)
D= Dead (grounded for a month)
F= For fucks sake (start digging your grave)

I personally have never seen Mark's report card, but by guessing by the grades he gets in class, he wouldn't have a social life if he lived in my shoes.

Mark was just average, he never tried to excel and little effort was made with him. What bothers me the most about his average attitude is that I can see he has so much intellectual potential but he never uses it. sometimes it surprises me how he advances grade levels.

I neatly pack away all my things into my backpack and zip it up, Mark takes one more look at his test and literally just shoves it into his extremely unorganized bag, such savagery.

"Since you all listened well today, i'm granting you guys free time until the end of class, that's 5 minutes." I grab my phone out of my bag and place in my earbuds and begin listening to my music, Mark follows in suit.

The first song that comes up on shuffle is "19-2000" by: Gorillaz (please check them out I love them so much). As I listen to my music, I could already imagine what people would say if they heard what I listen to. they would be disgusted, everyone thinks I listen to classical music. You can't judge someone's music taste based on appearance. Me, I prefer alternative and classic rock, artists like: green day, Gorillaz, fall out boy, etc. their music has messages in them, unlike all the rap and hip hop music everyone else in this school listens to.
