「Chapter 13」

"Thanks for picking me up Mark. I could've caught the bus." it was 4:15, Mark had offered and insisted on picking me up from my house which I graciously accepted.

"No problem dude! the bus is filled with odd people, I don't need you exposed to them. i'm the only odd person you'll need in your life anyway." he snickers at his own little joke, it was funny, he was odd, and I loved him for it.

We had gone a bit silent, I reach my hand out to turn the volume slightly up for the music, but it seemed Mark had the same idea as I did.

our hands met on the volume button, mine on top of his. The warmth of his hand had startled me and I didn't know what to do. A deep blush rose over my pale cheeks and I froze, not moving my hand and blankly staring straight ahead. Mark seemed a bit flustered like I was, out of the corner of my eye I could see hime blushing.

I finally snap back into reality, realizing how painfully and awkwardly long our hands had made contact.

"I-I APOLOGIZE!" I say.

"wh-what? you don't need to apologize. j-just a little bit of a bump heheh... it's no big deal." Mark turned up the volume, and we both sat there flustered and staring at the road ahead of us.

We had finally pulled up to Danny's house. the rest of the car ride was fairly awkward, I didn't mean for this to happen. All we did was stay silent and a few quick glances at one another.

We walk up to the door and knock. Danny answers excited to see us. inside Arin and Suzy were cuddling on the couch and Cry and Felix were sitting with each other. This was the first time I had seen Cry without his mask. He has gorgeous deep blue eyes, it was all I really paid attention to.

"Hey guys! welcome! you're just in time, Suzy was gonna leave in an hour."

Nothing note worthy had happened while Suzy was here, I guess we didn't want to scare her away or make her feel uncomfortable, which was reasonable. She is the only girl here and it's not often anyway where Suzy and Arin can just cuddle or hug without getting yelled at teachers for showing public displays of affection.

we all sat around played never have I ever. As planned I was questioned whether I would date Dan, or Mark. I answered Mark. When I looked towards Mark, he was blushing red like a firetruck and was stumbling over his words. needless to say, he loved the compliment.

The whole time I was asked questions regarding dating Mark, I answered all of them honestly and Mark didn't even know what to say. Dan and Arin knew what was going on, so they were nudging one another smirking and giggling. Suzy seemed to know too, so she was giggling lightly. Cry and Felix were lost in all of it, confused as to why they were laughing.

"Why are all of Jack's questions related to Mark?" Felix asked. "besides, if you like him so much, just kiss him!" I turn red along Mark.

"Felix." Cry places his hand on Felix's shoulder and looks him in the eye. "Save the dares for later." Cry winks. I swear everyone in the group is at least a little gay for someone else in the group.

Suzy left a little while later, leaving us guys to do guy things. I don't know what these guy things may be, but I hope it means getting to kiss Mark. I really hope he shares the same feelings for me.

"Who's ready for truth or dare?!" Arin yells spontaneously. we all get super excited.
"Well, that's gonna happen after we eat." we sigh, we have to eat first.

"Now! it is time for truth or dare." admittedly, I have never played actual fun truth or dare with friends before, seems like an exhilarating experience! and with these guys, anything can happen.
