I was walking through the hallway with my binder and books in my arms. 7th period was about to start and I wasn't even halfway there yet. The hallways were crowded with a lot of people. Sad people, happy people, confused people, and people that are kind of just dead inside. I was one of those people. I was dead inside. Nothing could ever happen that would bring me back to life. To me, I was dead. To others, I was dead. I had no friends. I was alone in this world. I had lost everybody because no one could understand what I went through. I was alone in this world full of people.
As I kept walking, I saw a girl crying and holding her hands to her face. Her friends were hugging her but would keep on looking at each other moving their shoulders up and down with confused looks on her faces. But I also noticed that they were rolling their eyes at her situation. That's what i was talking about when people don't know and don't understand what you are going through. I got a little mad and went up to them. "What's wrong?"
"None of your business! Go away!"
"Well it became my business when i noticed you guys rolling you eyes at her and her situation. I don't think that's what true friends would do."
"What do you know about friends huh? You don't even have any."
"Okay you just crossed the line"
"What are you going to do about it huh? You're not going to do anything!"
"Ohh really?"
I let go of my things, clenched my fist, swung my arm, and punched her in the face. I didn't care if I got suspended. She provoked me and she got what she deserved. She pissed me off and I wasn't just going to let an insult like that slide. The crying girl looked up at me and stared me in the eyes then looked at her wide jawed "friend". The crowed ohh'd at the punch I had thrown at her.
"So tell me, did I do anything about it because the way I saw it it looked like I did."
She began crying and ran off with the other girl behind her. The other crying girl stayed there staring at me. I was surprised to see her run into me and hug me.
"Thank you" she said through sobs.
"No problem"
"My name is...Levy. What's yours?"
"My name...is..."
"Lucy".
