Early the next morning, Saturday 23rd November 1963, Jack woke up to find no Lee in his room.
"LEE!" Yells Jack.
Lee comes running into Jack's room."What is it, Jack?!" Asks Lee getting panicky.
"Where were you? You weren't with me?!" Whines Jack.
"I was outside thinking over the events of yesterday," says Lee.
"Lee, I can't get back to sleep, can you please sing to me? If you don't mind," says Jack.
"Um... okay, if you want,"
"Wherever you go you know
I'll be there if you go far you know I'll be there I'll go anywhere so I'll see you there
You place the name you know I'll be there you name the time you know I'll be there
I'll go anywhere so I'll see you there I don't care if you don't mind I'll be there not far behind I will dare keep in mind I'll be there for you when there's a truth you know I'll be there amongst the lies you know I'll be there I don't care if you don't mind I'll be there not far behind I will dare keep in mind I'll be there for you alright! If you should fall you know I'll be there to catch a call you know I'll be there I'll go anywhere so I'll see you there I don't care if you don't mind I'll be there not far behind I will dare keep in mind I'll be there for you I'll be there for you I'll be there for you I'll be there for you,"sang Lee. Once he was finished, he seen Jack had fallen back asleep. 'I wonder if Jack would let me stay with him in the White House in D.C?,' Thought Lee.
THE NEXT DAY, SUNDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 1963...Today was the day that Jack got out of Parkland Hospital, 2 days after almost being assassinated by Lee.
"Jack, are you going back to D.C today?" Asks Lee.
"I was planning to, yeah, why?"
"I don't know, I just thought you would want to stay here in Dallas for a couple of days, since you've just came out of hospital, so I figured you'd maybe want to get used to doing things that you would normally do,"
"Lee, it's not like I've came from the future from I dunno, the Stone Age, but I think I'll be fine coping with everything. Yeah, okay I have the amnesia but maybe that won't last long,"
"Yeah, well obviously your amnesia's a bit of a problem, and why wouldn't it be? Because you suffered from a traumatic head injury,"
"And who's fault is that?"
"I don't know, whoever had the gun that shot you from the front. It was probably that fella over at the Grassy Knoll that's to blame for your head injury and amnesia,"
"Yeah, nice try, Lee, I think we all know it was you who did it,"
"How could that be possible? I was positioned behind you not in front, so how could I have shot you in the head? And another thing, sure just blame it on the patsy scapegoat,"
"That's basically the same thing, you dork,"
"It is?"
"Honestly, haven't you ever heard of a thing called a dictionary?"
"I have,"
"Why don't you use one then?"
"Whatever, Jack. What do you want to do anyway?"
"I dunno, you were the one who suggested that I stay in Dallas for a few days because of my amnesia,"
"Well, I just thought you would want extra recovery time for your head, I mean because that was a really big blow that was,"
"Yeah, okay, I'll stay here, I've been wondering, is my amnesia permanent?"
"I'm not sure, as you can see I'm not a doctor so how am I supposed to know? But we can find out,"
"Yeah, that sounds like a plan, then do what?"
"Whatever you want to do, I don't care,"
"Is there a movie theatre or something we can go to, once we find out if my amnesia is permanent or not,"
"Really you want to go to the movies? Not that I'm bothered, but it'll look really weird,"
"Does it really matter? It's not like we're dating, we're just friends, right?"
"Yeah... Just friends,"
"What's wrong? You sound really sad. Do you not want to be friends anymore?"
"I do, but... how do I put this? I know we've only met two days ago, but I don't know, I really like you, and I don't know why,"
"Hey, that's normal to feel that way, alright. I mean wouldn't you feel that way with a girl? So what's the difference?"
"Yeah, but here's the deal, you're not a girl, you're a guy,"
"And your point is?"
"Well, I don't want people looking at us weird, if we do end up dating, and I don't want my family disowning me because I've suddenly came out of the closet as queer, and it's illegal for guys to like guys and girls to like girls anyway, that's my point,"
"But it wouldn't be illegal if I passed a bill through congress would it?"
"But I don't think people will like that idea, Jack,"
"Who cares what other people think? That's up to them to make their own opinions, but they shouldn't be putting someone down just because they like the same gender, do you get what I mean?"
"Yeah, I get what you mean, Jack. So, we going to see about your amnesia?"
"Yeah, let's go,"
They arrive back at Parkland, they find out that PTA (Post-Traumatic Amnesia) which Jack has been diagnosed as having, is in some cases not permanent, but in his case however there is a possibility that it will go away as time progresses but there is a high chance of it being permanent based on the wound inflicted on his head.
"So now that we know there is a 50/50 chance of it going away or not, then I don't think we have much to worry about,"
"But, Lee, how do I know if I'll be able to remember certain things again?"
"I don't know, maybe if you randomly say whatever it is you've remembered the name of, then I think you would probably be all like: 'I've remembered what that was!' And be all happy about it, then I'm guessing that would be a sign of the PTA slowly going away. But, if it doesn't go away over a certain period of time, then you're screwed,"
"Well that was a nice way to put it if my amnesia is permanent,"
"Yeah, well you know I didn't mean that to be horrible to you,"
"So are we going to the theatre movie thing?"
"Don't tell me you've forgotten what it is?"
"No, I just did that to be annoying,"
"Yeah, we'll go if you're up to it,"
