50: Happy Holidays, You Bastard

With the New Year celebrations over, I'm finally going back to the university back to doing what I do best, looking out for any new galaxy, form of life, planet or star in the grandeur scheme that is our universe. I've also became infatuated by an album called Take Off Your Pants and Jacket by a Californian pop-punk/punk-rock band called blink-182. I've been listening to their latest record and also listening to some of their older stuff too. Want to know which song from the album that I was listening to whilst driving to work this morning? A song called Happy Holidays, You Bastard nice isn't it?. It has been stuck in my head all day! I sometimes catch myself whistling away to that song and a couple of others, especially the song First Date that's a good song, too. As soon as I walked into my office in the Astronomy Dept., I got greeted with all of my co-workers yelling: "WELCOME BACK, HARV!" I am glad to be back to where I belong, and also in one of the classrooms that I teach in sometimes one of the students wrote: WELCOME BACK, DR. OSWALD-KENNEDY, WE MISSED YOU! on the whiteboard at the front of the class, that actually made me smile knowing that they had missed me and were glad that I was back and I could go back to teaching them before my life all went to hell. After I did a lecture I went back to my office to have a look in my own telescope that I bought not long ago, the exterior of my office door reads: DR. HARVEY F. OSWALD-KENNEDY, ASTRONOMER.
