12: Meeting the Family

Jack drove back to The White House with both Lee and Harvey, so the little boy could meet his new family, which he was looking forward to, he parked the car in the garage, once they were out of the car, he turned to Harvey and asked:

"Are you ready to meet everyone, buddy?"

"Yeah!"

"Come on, let's go!". They started walking to the front of The White House, with Harvey holding both Jack and Lee's hands as they walked, as soon as they walked through the front door, Harvey was greeted with his new family, there was: Joe, Rose, Kathleen, Rosemary, Jean, Patricia, Bobby, Eunice, Teddy, Robert, Robert and John (Lee's brothers), Marguerite, and last but not least his new siblings, Caroline, John Jr., June and Audrey. Once everyone had left, except Robert and Bobby who hung around with their new nephew, well Bobby's to be specific, Jack and Lee took Harvey up to his new bedroom to show him what it looked like.

"What do you think of it, Harvey?" Asks Jack as he watches the little boy admiring his new room in awe.

"I like it, thank you!"

"You're welcome, buddy,"

"So, will Caroline, John, June and Audrey be living with us?" Asks a curious Harvey as he shifted his questioning eyes between his new parents, who looked at each other trying to come up with a answer to explain to the little boy so that he would understand.

"Not all of the time, bud because they also live with their Moms, so they'll be here with us mostly on weekends,"replied Lee

"Oh," Harvey said sadly, clearly unhappy that he wouldn't have his siblings to play with all the time.

"Hey, don't worry, you'll always have us and your Uncles Robert and Bobby, well Robert is kind of your uncle, but not really,"

"Okay,"

"My new room is so much better than my old one at the centre, because it wasn't very nice,"

"Well, you don't have to worry about that anymore, kid because we love you very much and want the best for you," Says Jack as he looked down to his little boy. After a while, Harvey began to grow tired, so Jack lifted him up and gently placed him onto his new bed, his bedsheets were dark blue with all of the nine planets on it, Lee was in tow of Jack so he turned on the little lamps that were in the shape of all of the planets which softly lit up the room. Harvey also has miniature models of rockets next to a bookshelf filled with books all about space and the study of planets, and books on astronauts as well and famous astronomers throughout history, he also has a few posters pinned up on the walls about all of the different planets, plus the sun and moon. With little Harvey tucked in and sleeping soundly, Jack and Lee retreated to their room to go to bed as well, as it was late and they let Harvey stay up a little later so he could meet his new family.

"What do you think he'll start to call us?" Wondered Lee

"I'm not entirely sure, just whatever he's comfortable with,"

"We'll give him some time,"

"Yeah, that's a good idea,"

"Goodnight, Lee, I love you,"

Silence. He turned to see that Lee had already fallen asleep.

"Bastard," he whispered to himself

"I heard that," came the mumbled reply

"Yeah... I knew you would,".
