17: A Little Brother?

Harvey was now back inside, he snuck past the Secret Service agents who paid no attention to him, probably hoping that the rest of them didn't take anymore cheek from the little boy who thought he owned the show, which he obviously didn't. He was just about to go back up to his room when he heard the voices of his dads, Jack and Lee, his Uncles Bobby and Robert in the Oval Office. So, that's where Uncle Robert's been all day? Thought Harvey as he listened in to the conversation, he picked up something that got his mind wondering, "A little brother/sister for Harvey", he was going to have another brother or sister? He's already got Caroline, John, June and Audrey, so why would he need more siblings? Maybe they're thinking of someone to play with Harvey since he doesn't get to see his other siblings all of the time, only on weekends. He scampered off to his room in a hurry in case he got in trouble for eavesdropping when he shouldn't be. He sat on his bed reading about constellations, like: Orion, Scorpius, Leo, Hydra, Capricornus and Andromeda, after reading about the constellations he went over to his window and looked outside to see if he seen anything that might catch his eye, and there sure was, he saw his dads getting into one of the Secret Service cars and then two or three agents following them, What the heck's going on? Where are they going? Why are they leaving me? Thought Harvey as he then raced out of his room, down the many flights of stairs and then ran as if in a marathon to the front door which was, in his case (thankfully) open and finally ran over to where the car was parked, the agent turning the key to put the engine into ignition. He was once again stopped in his tracks by another Secret Service agent, How many stupid agents does Dad have? Wondered Harvey as he just wished he could get the agent out of his way, which as of now was not happening (just yet).

"And, where do you think you're going, young man?" Asked the agent eyeing Harvey, which the boy found a little uncomfortable

"I'm looking for my dads, are they in the car?" Harvey Asks innocently as he can be, whilst knowing all along that Jack and Lee are in fact in the car, the agent looked at Harvey again and asked:

"Would you like to ride along with us?"

"Can I?!" Harvey replies ecstatic

"If you really want to you can,"

"Yay! Thank you!" Harvey thanked the agent, as said agent opened the car door and addressed Jack with:

"Mr. President, do you mind if this one rides along with you?"

"No, it's fine it's to do with him anyways," replied Jack

"Where are we going?" Asked Harvey looking up to Jack, waiting for him to answer his question. Do I have to put up with these types of questions throughout the whole trip? Thought Jack as he seen Harvey looking at him intently, more or less staring at him with his big ocean blue eyes. After the staring contest between the two, Jack replied to Harvey:

"We're going to see if we can get you a little brother,"

"But why? I already have John as my brother and Caroline, June and Audrey as my sisters, so why would I need more siblings?"

"We thought that it would be a good idea that you have someone here to play with you, and keep you company instead of only on weekends,"

"Oh, okay. Are we going to the same adoption centre where you got me?"

"I think so, I'm not sure. It is the same place we're going to right, Lee?"

"Yeah, it is,"

"See? We're going to the same place,"

"Okay, so how long will it take us to get there?"

"Probably about 10-20 minutes at least,"

"Alright".
