Derek's POV

It'd been a long time. But she died. Aria died in my arms and if it wasn't for Stiles she wouldn't be alive today. After she passed out and her heart slowly stopped. Stiles pushed us aside and gave her CPR whilst he instructed us to remove the wood. Stiles got her heart beating and then we all ran to the hospital where they finished what Stiles started. All that remains is a scar, a big scar. But at least she's okay, and most importantly. She's alive.

I drove my car to the hospital where Lydia and Aria were. Peter attacked Lydia one night a few weeks ago.

I saw Stiles fast asleep on a chair with a get well soon balloon. I saw Scotts mom standing watching him as he spoke to himself in his sleep.

"How long has he been here?" I asked.

"He hasn't left." She confirmed. We both stood for a moment watching him with a strange but pitiful expression. Shaking my head I made my way to Arias room. When I walked in she was the on the phone, she smiled at me as she drew the call to an end.

"Hello!" She chirped.

"You sound better, who was that on the phone?" I asked.

"Privacy Derek! I feel almost back to normal." She stated, I listened to her heartbeat delighted that it didn't jump once meaning she was telling the truth. "How long do you think it'll be before I can be discharged?" She asked.

"I don't know, not long I bet." I told her honestly. But a slight wave of sadness rolled over her face. "Hey... It'll be okay. You'll be out of here in no time." I tried to reassure her.

"I want nothing more than to just be at home. Spending this-" She was cut off by an blood curdling scream. Not long after we heard "Lydia!" As Stiles shouted her name. I could hear him running to her room. Closing Arias door I stood close to her. My protective instincts were kicking in. I'd lost her already, never again.

"Derek..." Aria's voice shook. Her heart rate picked up slightly, but Stiles soon came bursting into the room making my sister jump.

"She's gone." He breathed.

"Wait, what do you mean she's gone?" Aria asked.

"I mean she's gone. No one knows where or how, but she's gone." He confirmed, talking about Lydia.

"Well we have to go find her!" Aria stated as she pulled the needle connected to a drip out of her hand. Then she pulled off her heart monitor causing it to flatline.

"No, you'll stay right here," I said as I put one of her legs back on the bed. "You aren't well enough to leave here, let alone go out on a search party. Let Scott and Stiles handle it okay?" I reasoned. Aria thought for a moment but then agreed. I had werewolves to get if Lydia was turning.

"I'll be back later, love you." I said to Aria. Stiles had already left, no surprise.

Aria's POV

If Derek thinks I'm staying here whilst he goes out to look for Lydia, he's very wrong. She's involved in all this now and she was attacked...

Wait. Could she...? Is it possible?

Could Lydia be turning into a werewolf?

As I pulled off my heart monitor again and the machine began flatlining Scotts mom, Melissa came running in.

"What the hell!" She half yelled at me.

"I..uh, just wanted to go on a walk." I smiled.
