Aria's POV

I woke up in someone's arms. Pain still evident in my chest, as well as my head. I have no idea what that was. Slowly I became more aware of my surroundings.

I looked up at the face of the person who was carrying me. I was met with the familiar face of Deaton.

"Don't worry Aria," he soothed, "you're going to be okay.

I felt him lay me down on the table in the clinic, he then injected me with something and that made me curious.

"W...what was that?" I asked him holding my arm in a firm grip.

"Just something to make you feel a little stronger, that's all. We use it on the dogs." He explained.

"Why would it work on me then?"I asked, "Surely if it works on the dogs it wouldn't work on humans."

"Correct."

I looked at him with a confused and slightly anxious expression. Well then why did he use it on me? I'm not supernatural... am I?

"You know why you felt that pain in your chest don't you?" Deaton asked me, sitting down. I shook my head and sat up, feeling slightly disorientated.

"Something happened with Derek that obviously took a lot of power from him, and I think some strength was given back to him by you. He took some of your strength to save himself." Deaton told me.

"But that doesn't make any sense. What power could he possibly get from a human?" I questioned.

"Isn't it clear yet Aria? You aren't a human. I'm not sure what you are, but you are definitely not human." He told me in a confirming voice.

I took a sharp breath inwards.

Impossible.

"When you think about it, it all adds up. You walked miles with stitches that split open, that would've easily killed a human. Have you been zoning out recently? Like all voices around you sound muffled for a short period of time?" He asked.

I nodded slowly, it was odd, but like Deaton said, it did add up.

Not knowing what to do I looked at Deaton.

"Can we keep this between us for now? I need to figure some things out."

"Of course Aria. I'll do some research and get back to you." He replied. I thanked him and saw I had a text from Stiles.

He asked me to meet him at the Police Station. Maybe they had a lead.

I made my way there and Stiles was waiting for me. We hugged quickly before he dragged me down the corridor to his dads office.

"Stiles! Go to the front desk and tell them to let Scotts mom in when she arrives." Sheriff ordered.

He ran off again.

"It' Matt. He's been seen at multiple sights where the murders were committed and Scott's mom spoke to him at the hospital. We need to get her here and if she can give us an official ID it's enough for a search warrant." Sheriff quickly brushed over what they had found out.

"Okay, so we just wait for Melissa." I replied, they both nodded at me.

Sheriff was looking through things when I felt a hand on my arm.

Scott.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked, his eyes holding concern.

I nodded, pressing a smile out. He nodded at me, but didn't look at all convinced. He knew something wasn't right.
