(You are sword fight training with Esperanza. You have a crush on Leo and he is watching you train. Esperanza knows that you like Leo. You guys are around 16 [Just imagine that Esperanza dies later in his life])

Esperanza handed you a sword as she grabbed her own. She was training you for the future wars to come. And so that you could fight alongside her son, Leo. 

Leo was sitting on a crate while you and Esperanza held your swords. "Remember, you're doing this for Leo," Esperanza said. You nodded.

  Keep your stance wide,

Keep your body lowered,

As you're moving forward

Balance is the key  

"Alright, spread out your feet and lower your body," Esperanza instructed. You followed her instructions. You both crossed your swords in mid air as Leo watched, intrigued.

"Now, as I move backwards, keep your balance." You started walking forwards and Esperanza moved backwards.

  Right foot; left foot,

Now go even faster

And as you're moving backwards

Keep your eyes on me.  

You looked down at your feet, making sure you were in rhythm. You looked back up and Esperanza said, "Now, lets speed up and go backwards."

As you walked backwards, you looked down at your feet. Esperanza suddenly said, "No. Don't look at your feet. Look at your opponents eyes." You looked back up and stared into her eyes.

Leo watched you guys, hoping you'd do good.

[Connie] Keep my stance wide, (Good)

  Keep my body lowered, (Right)

 As I'm moving forward (Concentrate!) 

 [Pearl] Don't you want him to live!?

As you concentrated on Esperanza and not your feet, Esperanza smiled. "Good, keep your body lowered. Great."

As you moved back and forth, you thought about how Leo and you would be fighting together. Suddenly, you heard Esperanza tell you to concentrate. "Concentrate if you want Leo to live!" You nodded.

[Connie] Right foot; left foot

[Pearl] Yes, but put your whole body into it!
