Harry's P.O.V.

Leaving Miranda again sucked.

It wasn't as bad as the first time but I still didn't want to leave. I really didn't have a choice. I guess I could leave the band somehow but there is NO WAY that I'll do that! As much as I care for her, One Direction was my life now. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

I seriously wanted to bring Miranda with me. If I could, I would stuff her in my suitcase and go. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn't be allowed, plus school is in the way. I want her to get a good education so she can succeed in life. I never got to experience College or University; I want her to.

When I left, I thought about our conversations and how she talked about her dates. It honestly made me a little jealous and upset. Those dates were horrible! They had no idea what they were doing. They so clearly don't know how to treat a girl like Miranda. If it was me, I would've brought her on the best date of her life! No weird foods, no weird movies; I'd actually think of what a girl would want; be a little romantic.

Then there was the whole prom thing. As soon as she said the word "prom", I immediately repeated these five words over and over in my head: please don't have a date. Thankfully, she doesn't! Which means that I might have a chance...

I smiled at that thought, all while walking into the room.

"Why the big smile Haz?" Louis suddenly asked.

I looked at him and felt a blush rise to my cheeks. Didn't help that they were all staring at me.

"Oh I think I know why." Liam said, wiggling his eyebrows.

I let out a little laugh.

"It's Miranda, isn't it?"

"What makes you-"

"We can tell." Zayn said. "Harry, we know you like her... a lot."

"She is my best friend..." I mumbled.

"No, I mean like, really really like her. MORE than a best friend kind of like."

Dang.

"You have a crush on her!" Niall said. I sighed. "Ha! Knew it."

"Was it THAT obvious?"

"At first, no. We figuered that since you guys are really close, it was normal. But then you kept talking about her 24/7 and that's when we noticed. Tonight just made it clear."

"Okay, yeah, I'm crushing... Big time! I can't help it; she's just perfect. Absolutely brilliant. I love her more than anything."

"Then tell her, mate." Liam said.

I shook my head. I couldn't. I didn't want her to be scared or freaked out. There was no way she'd date me. She once told me that dating me would be like dating her brother. That's pretty much how she sees me; as her brother. I want to be so much more than that. I just don't have the courage to tell her right now.

"Enough about my crushing." I said. "What about you Niall?"

He glowed a nice shade of pink. "What about me?"

Zayn caught on. "Yeah Niall. You're crushing as well we see..."

"N-no! What would make you think that?"

We all looked at eachother and smiled.

"Hm, let's see, who did Niall spend most the night with?" Liam said.

"Saaaaaaaaaam!" Louis taunted.

Niall smiled and rubbed his neck. "She's great, isn't she?"

We nodded. "Yes, she's great for you."

"Woah, I meant in general not-"

"Niall, mate, don't deny it. We watched you all night. You look at her in a totally different way than any other girl we've met." I said.

"Oh." He smiled. "Well in that case, I think I really like her. I just met her though, that's the thing! How can that happen so quickly?"

We all shrugged, but kept smiling. We then all decided that we should get some rest. Zayn stretched, got up and slapped Niall on the back before changing into his pyjamas.

"It's only the beginning Ni, it's only the beginning."

•••••••

Almost two months later, we finished our tour. I had a blast touring Europe again! I love it. Now, I was able to go home to my family for Christmas! Meaning I would get to see Miranda. Sigh.

We all arrived in London and we each waited for out parents to come get us. My mum was the first one. I said goodbye to the gang and wished them a Merry Christmas. I hugged my mum before we drove off.

I told her about this tour. She quietly sat behind the wheel and smiled whenever I mentioned something "amazing" or "funny".

We pulled up into the drive way and before getting out, asked:

"Do they know I'm coming back?"

She smiled and shook her head. "I don't think so. They're hoping you'd be here so technically it's a waiting game for them."

I smiled back and got out. I put my suitcase in my room and was about to leave when there was a knock on the door. I opened it and saw Miranda standing there, wearing a Santa hat and holding a box of goodies. She smiled really big, quickly put the box down and hugged me.

"You came back!" she said.

"Yeah, I did. A little later than expected, however."

"How so?"

"One of our shows in Sweden got delayed by almost a day because of a snow storm so we couldn't leave the airport. I felt so so bad for being really late but we had to. We were in the airport for almost twelve hours!"

She looked up at me. "Oh my! That's terrible!"

I nodded. I hugged her tighter and she smiled. If I wasn't so scared, I would've kissed her right then. Instead, I looked at the box.

"Is that for me?" I asked.

She picked it up and handed it to me. "And your mum and Gemma. Not just you."

I stuck out my bottom lip and dropped my head. "Awwh..."

She laughed and so did I. This was a good start to the Christmas holidays.
