Miranda's P.O.V.

Almost two months past by since I found out about Harry and that girl. We haven't spoken during that time period. Gosh, this is the longest time we've ever ignored each other. I remember in grade six, I gave him the silent treatment for something silly he did. It lasted for about eight hours before I broke down and couldn't stay away from him any longer. Now, it's like we don't even realize that the other exists. It hurts a lot but honestly, I've learned to deal with it.

On a happier note, it's my birthday tomorrow! Eighteenth birthday, might I add. I officially can drive by myself soon! I just have to book and pass my drivers test. Of course, there's always a downside to everything. The downside to this news is that he won't be here to celebrate with me. I wasn't there on the day of his eighteenth birthday but there was a good reason why; he was across the ocean. We still threw him a surprise party when he came home a few months later. There's no way he'll be able to be here this year. He's somewhere in Europe right now, far from me. Just like he wanted. By the look of it, I don't think he'll be coming for March Break. I knew that we wouldn't because one, he had a tour and two, he was with HER now. I groaned. I really need to stop talking about him.

Okay, back to my birthday! Yeah, it's tomorrow. Mum had planned on taking me out for dinner and maybe do a bit of shopping. Sam wanted to do something with me as well. Also, Harry kind of promised to take me on a road trip.

*FLASHBACK*

It was during the summer of 2011, when we were fifteen. We went to the beach and saw a group of teenagers having fun in the water.

"That's going to be us one day M."

I nodded and closed my eyes. At the time, I didn't want to grow up but seeing the older kids made me think otherwise.

"How old do you think they are?" I asked him.

"Hmm, I'd say maybe eighteen."

"It must be nice to be eighteen."

He nodded. "Yeah. No adults to boss you around anymore. When you turn eighteen, we'll go somewhere alone. No parents, no rules. Just freedom."

I smiled. "That sounds perfect. We should go on a road trip."

He smiled. "Sounds perfect."

*END*

I guess it's not happening anymore. Now that he was a little girlfriend, or whatever she is, he probably forgot about it. It makes me sad to think about it. Ugh, Miranda snap out of it. You're not suppose to think about them.

Anyway, I'm not expecting any gifts this year, although since it's my eighteenth, people will go over board and give me money or things for university. Which is fine but I really don't want anything. Knowing Sam, she'll get me something super nice and pretty expensive. That's just how she is.

I would like to know what Sam has planned for me tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous because she can really go over board with her little surprises. I trust that she won't bring me to a club or a bar because quite frankly, those are not places I would enjoy going to. I'm not THAT comfortable yet.

While I was thinking of the possible things San could have planned for me, my phone buzzed.

-Sam: 1:38pm-

M! I have everything planned for tomorrow! I'll give you a little hint: wear something pretty! I'll come get you at 6:30 tomorrow night! See you then xx

-Me: 1:39pm-

Alright, awesome! I can't wait!
