Sam's P.O.V.

Today is Saturday and I have to work. I don't hate my job but I don't love it either. I work at a little fancy clothing store downtown. I've been working here for three years. You'd be surprised by the number of customers we get in a day. Even thought it's expensive here, at least three dozen customers come every day. Customers are always looking for clothing for weddings, funerals, proms, dances, parties, business conventions or meetings. Even teachers come in. That's why some of my teachers always look so dressy. My job is to put out new articles or take away ripped ones. I also take people's measurements if needed. I am obliged to ask them if they need help and to compliment them on an outfit... even if I really don't want to.

One of the awesome things is that I don't have to wear clothing from this store, like all the other clothing stores require. Thanks goodness because there is NO WAY I can afford ANY of this. I can't even afford a purse from here!

It's currently noon and there are two ladies looking for an outfit for a tea party. I smiled and helped them out. After didn't take them long to find something they liked. I immediately gave them change rooms and they got in.

"How are they fitting, ladies?" I asked.

"Oh it's perfect! I really like how it looks! The color is great!" said one.

"I agree! Although, I think I need a size bigger..." said the other.

"Okay I'll go find you a size bigger. You have a thirty-four on, correct?"

She said yes and I quickly grabbed a thirty-six. She put it on and said that it fits way better.

"Can I see Mary?" the other one asked.

They both came out and started complimenting each other. I giggled.

"They suit you ladies perfectly! You should definitely get them!"

They nodded and I made my way to the cash. The ladies came up and payed for their things.

"Thank you for shopping with us!" I said.

"No, thank you dear! See you another time!"

They left and I sighed. I loved helping ladies like them. They didn't give me a hard time. I went to the change room, grabbed the size thirty-four dress and put it back on the rack. My manager came out from the back.

"Sam, it's lunch time if you wanted to eat. I'm going across the street to the café to meet my husband. I'll be back before one. Don't forget the sign!"

"I won't. Have a good time!"

She smiled and left. I stretched my arms and walked over to the window and flipped the "Be Back" sign. I grabbed a marker and wrote "at 12:40". I made my way to the back and pulled out my lunch and phone. I had received two texts. I picked up my sandwich and went through my messages.

-Miranda: 11:45am-

Hey, just wondering if you wanted to do a bit of shopping today

-Me: 12:14pm-

Can't. I'm working remember? Sorry :/

-Mum: 12:02pm-

The Jeffersons called and asked of you would be available to babysit tonight. Give them a call whenever you can.

I sighed. I loved those kids; I really did. As much as I would like to babysit them, I had homework to do. I dialed their number but they didn't answer so I left a message. I hung up, hoping that they would get my message before tonight. I finished eating and decided to read a little. I'm currently reading "The Summoning" by Kelley Armstrong. Miranda's cousin in Canada recommended it to her but since she doesn't like reading, she recommended it to me and I love it so far.
