Sam's POV
I walked into the room, with my backpack slung over my shoulder. For once though, I didn't want detention to get over fast.
I spotted Kyle, and headed over to him. He looked surprised to see me.
"What are you in for?" he asked.
I shrugged, "Nothing bad enough"
He laughed. It was a nice sound, one that I wouldn't mind listening to all day.
"Are you coming to Magnus's sleepover this weekend?", he asked me.
Magnus was a senior, and he was leaving school this year along with his boyfriend, Alec. They were hosting a sleepover, and every mildly popular person, be it a freshman or a senior, was invited.
Of course I was going.
"Come, it'll be fun. Besides, I know Magnus personally. We can ask for anything we want.", he said.
"Yeah, I'm coming. So are Rachel, Grace and Anna. Actually, almost everyone I know is coming."
I cringed at my very stupid reply. REALLY, could I not give a smooth answer for ONCE?
I wanted out. I didn't want to sit in in this stupid classroom for one more moment. I wanted to go to our hideout with Kyle, but I had to ask Rachel and Grace if they were fine with me showing him our place.
"Hey, lets get out of here. I know a place that would be perfect to go to.", he said.
I looked up, surprised. It was almost like he could read my mind.
I nodded, "yeah, lets go"
Before leaving, I asked a friend to cover for us.
"But what do I say if after half an hour the teacher asks why you guys haven't returned?", he asked.
"Oh, you'll think of something", I replied, and me and Kyle left the room.
*~*~*~*
"Where are we-"
"Shhh", he said, putting a finger on my lips. "You'll see"
We walked around the stage and went backstage. There, Kyle brought out a key, and opened a nondescript door.
It opened onto a room.
It was the most beautiful room I had ever seen, with rose bushes along the wall, jasmine plants running all over the ceiling, creating some kind of a canopy, and little bluebells hanging down from the ceiling.
"What is this place?", I asked, thoroughly shocked. "I thought I knew every secret place in the school."
He smiled. "This is my hideout, no one knows about it. When I first came to this school, I used to skip classes to spend time in the garden, you know, that one near the swimming pool?"
I nodded.
"The gardener saw how much I loved gardening, and he showed me this room. It was dusty then, but me and him, we planted all these flowers, cuz' flowers make everyone else happy. Only me and him knew about this place, and now you."
He gazed lovingly around the room.
"That's so cool!!", I said, "If I had access to this place, I would never go to class."
"Come, milady, let us sit", he said, leading me under the canopy of flowers to a single bench.
He pushed aside some flowers, and retrieved a pack of biscuits.
"For emergengies", he said, winking at me.
I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. This was waaay better than what I had initially planned detention with him would be like.
For what felt like hours, we stared into each other's eyes dreamily.
After a certain amount of time, which I didn't know, or care about, the bell rang, signalling the end of detention.
"Hey Jackson", he said, smirking, "lets go". I nodded mutely, and stood up to go, but my foot caught in a stray vine, and I tripped. I braced myself for the inpact, but it never came.
"Careful Jackson", he whispered into my ear, "we wouldn't want to injure ourself now, would we?"
I turned my head, to find his face inches from mine. The distance was frustrating.
"No...", I breathed back.
And he closed the frustrating distance, his lips crashing down upon mine, supporting me completely, rendering me completely helpless.
That wouldn't do.
I kissed him back with all the strength I could muster in that position, wrapped my hands in his hair, and pushed slightly, giving me the upper hand, and considerably more control.
He pressed on, not pleased to have to give up control, and I felt a bolt of self-satisfaction shoot through me, and reciprocated the kiss.
It felt like only seconds before I broke away, breathless and panting, smirking at him.
He narrowed his eyes at me, and lunged at me.
I turned my head, teasing him.
"Jackson...", he growled into my ear, nuzzling my neck, his hands around me.
I brought my hands up, and started tickling him mercilessly. He tried to pin my hands above my head and tickle me back, but I slipped out of his grip, and we both fell onto the floor, laughing.
After a minute or so, I pulled myself together, and said, "We'd better go".
He nodded, and we walked back to the class. Thankfully, the teacher didn't seem too suspicious about our absence.
He escorted me to my bus, holding my hand.
When we reached my bus, he lifted my hand to his lips, and kissed it.
Then took a step back, winked at me, and whispered, "Call me, Jackson".
Before I could respond, he had squeezed my hand, and walked away.

Escapade.
