A baby fills a hole in your heart you never knew was there.

Steph's contractions are getting closer and closer together. I however, am not showing any signs of labor besides mild back pain. Steph stood in the kitchen and pointed her finger at Louis.
"We are never having another child!" I could tell he wanted to laugh but instead he kept it in. To top it off, she was constantly worried about the wedding."Water broke." Niall says as he walks in on Harry and I. "Oh damn, sorry." I pulled the sheets up.
"She broke?" I ask.
"Yeah, their on the phone with the doctor." That was when I realized today was the day. I wasn't scheduled to be induced until the morning, now I can be there for Steph and Louis. I got up to put clothes on. Harry covered his eyes and rubbed them.
"What?" I asked with a calm and soothing voice. He gulped beiges he spoke.
"Today is the day." He cried. I smiled.
"It is. All we've waited for." Not just for our baby but for both. We walked into he living room where Steph walked to me and hugged me while Liam and Niall watched a football game.
"I'm not ready." Steph says.
"Oh yes you are." She chuckles with pain. "You got this." I tell her. He nods. No words.Steph tried her best to stay calm but she was in some pain.
"How far are contractions?" Louis asked. He had probably done more homework than Steph.
"5 minutes." I can see the happiness and worry in his eyes from the rear view mirror. He looked back at Steph then back at the road.
"Is he still breached?" He asked.
"Breached?" I asked.
"I don't know." Steph said.
"Michael is breached?" I ask again, this time in search for an answer.
"Yes." Steph said.
"Why didn't you say something?"
"I didn't want to worry you." This went from Steph is having a baby to Steph could lose this baby if we don't get to a hospital real quick. We remained calm and continued the drive to the hospital.A couple hours later, at the ass crack of dawn, Steph hit 10 centimeters. Michael was thankfully not breached. Fully dilated and ready to go.
"Just Louis and Mara." Steph says. Thank goodness she was given an epidural because it would have been more "GET THE FUCK OUT!" I grabbed her right hand and Louis grabbed her left. The doctors counted and encouraged her though the pain.
"You have the right to scream honey." A nurse said. I chuckled a little. Everything was going great until my water broke.
"Steph I have to go." I tell her.
"What?! Where!?" She looks down. "Oh my god!"
"Yeah." I say.
"Go check in with your doctor, we'll clean it up." A nurse assured me.
"Thank you. Steph you got this. I ran out the room. The boys paced the hall.
"Born?" They ask.
"Not yet, but we need to go." I tell Harry.
"Why? We still have a couple hours." I point to my wet pants.
"Well shit." He says calmly. He looks again. "Oh shit!" He says in realization.
"Call my dad and David." I tell Liam.
"Got you!" He pointed to me as Harry pulled me to the front desk. So many thing we're going through my head. I couldn't believe it was time. And we get to find out the gender. LeAnna or Max, that was the real question."Looks like you're having a Leap year baby." Niall said.
"How's Steph?"
"Baby's not hear yet. I think Louis said she's almost there." There were so many emotions going through my mind. I was genuinely happy. I chose a natural birth. I wanted the full ride experience no matter how crazy Harry thought I was.As contractions rose I relied on Harry's touch to sooth me. We occasionally walked he room. I wrapped my arms around his neck to try and loosed my lower body up.
"Breathe." He said gently. A few minutes later Niall walked in.
"Micheal Alexander 7 pounds 6 ounces." That was a sigh a relief that she was ok and so was the baby. That was my motivation and my determination.I was soon ready to push at 10 centimeters. The nurses prepped the area for birth.
"You're doing great." He said with a soothing voice and gentle hands. I had a hard time, my body didn't have enough energy to push the baby out naturally.
"We're going to move you to an emergency C-section." This being my first child I was genuinely scared. Scared of what was going to happen to the baby and me. There's always a possibility of a problem. I was wheeled away. Harry had scrubs on and a mask for the Delivery room. He never one let my hand go in the way and during the operation. I was blinded by the fact that my child was being cut out. It was not only scary but heart wrenching.Everything started to fade. The voices of the doctors and Harry's encouragement echoed. My head felt heavy.
"Mara." Harry's voiced echoed. I heard the first cry and that was it. I was out.
"Mara!" I shook her shoulder. "Mj!" I cried.
"Sir I going to have to have you leave the room."
"No! This is my girlfriend! I won't leave her."
"Sir, this is an emergency." That's when I felt the tears on my eyes. They put an oxygen mask on her. I held the baby. Not even taking a second to look at the gender. They probably announced it but I couldn't hear. All I cared about in that moment was Mara.
