Valerie's POV
At Dally's request, I called all my friends and told them if we could hang out at Soda's house instead. They were all happy with the idea, thinking it would be some huge party. To be honest, I was surprised. My friends never cared for me hanging out with greasers, and much less dating one.
My parents were not very ok with the idea, but they agreed because I already had told my friends. All my friends planned on coming to my house first and we would walk over there together since they didn't know where the Curtis's lived. Dally stayed and said he could be our "guide". I didn't care, as long as I wasn't getting jumped by no socs cause dally was around to protect us.
Later all my friends starting knocking on the doors and we stayed on the porch talking waiting until everyone got here. My friends weren't to fond of Dallas Winston.
"Hasn't he been arrested before? Are you sure he won't try to kill us?" My friend Martha laughed, staring ahead at dally as all four of us walked together.
"Yep he's pretty dangerous, get him angry and he will pull a blade on you!" I answered sarcastically.
"Heard that, Val." Dally answered back, and I giggled.
"I saw that," my friend Brooklyn said while smirking at me.
"Saw what?" I was confused, because I hadn't done anything.
"You like Dallas. Come on, you have that giddy laugh that's so obvious that your into him. Don't you have a boyfriend?"
"I suppose I do have a boyfriend. But shut up, he's going to hear you. And I don't need him getting the wrong idea. Im happy with Soda," I lied.
"You literally just told us that you and him got into a fight," Madeline pointed out.
"Yeah I know, but it will blow over. At least I hope so. I like him a lot." I smiled at the thought of Soda, and I tried to block out the not so good moments.
"You didn't say you love him," Martha teased. I wasn't one to be very public about my relationship and sharing that I was in love with Soda. But of course I was. I didn't answer her question.
"Dally, even tho he's quite the bad boy, he has some good looks. If he cleaned up and wore a suit and you didn't know him personally, he would look like the best guy in Oklahoma.
"That's never going to happen. Do I look like I own a fucking suit?" Dally answered back, and I was stunned. He must have had super sonic hearing, cause we were pretty quiet and he was far away. That means he heard everything we said about him.
"Valerie, you are blushing." Brooklyn nudged me and whispered just barely so I could hear.
"That's because you guys just exposed me. Just stop talking for the rest of the way. We walked in silence for the rest of trip.
My friends were not greasers, and neither was I really, just the middle, and they were all tensing up in the greaser neighborhoods. They were so prissy, and I'm surprised my friends even agreed to go to a greaser's house. They always wished they were socs.
"Did you tell them we were coming?" I asked Dallas before I opened the door.
"Nope, but they won't care. Let's go." I stopped him before he could open it.
"Seriously, we are bringing strangers. You could have at least asked!" Dally ignored my comment and opened the door.
"Party time Johnny!" He hit Johnny in the head and me and my friends walked in. I turned to Darry.
"I'm sorry we should have asked, but I brought my friends along to. Maybe we can turn this dull night into a party?" I tried to be cool about the situation even though I felt bad.
"Yeah it's fine, but Soda is in the shower right now." Darry sat back down, while my friends sat on the couch.
"These are my friends Martha, Madeline, and Brooklyn. There not as cool as me though..." I teased my friends as they all laughed.
"Well even though it's not my house, welcome ladies!" Two-bit said sitting by Brooklyn, who was my very pretty and single friend.
Everything was going well, my friends cringed at their curses and drinking but my friends were getting along with all the greasers while watching the television.
"Hey Darry, have you done my laundry yet?" Soda came walking into the living room, looking totally confused as he saw three girls he didn't know, and then he turned to me. He was only wearing a towel around his waist. I waved toward him and stood up.
"Surprise," I said, I'm must have been outta my mind with confidence today, because I gave Soda a big kiss in front of everyone.
