Chapter 15

{Rosie's point of view}

"Guys, I'm gonna run upstairs and plug my phone back in again." I say getting up off the couch. "Hey, and I'll be right back, so don't change my show!" I say. "Okay." Harper says. I run up the steps, and down the hallway. I look up and bump into someone. "Oh sorry." I say. It's Bruce. "It's fine. Do, uh, you know where Emerson is?" Bruce asks. He actually WANTS to see Emerson. "He and Hazel just went to go look around." I say. "Thanks." Bruce says and he quick walks off down the hall again. I walk down the hall and into my room. I pick up the cord and try to put it in my phone, a few times before it actually clicks in. I hear footsteps in the hallway. I turn around and look out the door, which I left open. "Hello?" I ask. I stick my head out the door way. "Anyone out here? Chase if this is you, come out right now!" I say. Still no answer. I turn around to go back into my room. I try to scream but a hand clamps over my mouth. The hand is cold.

Loki.

I feel his arms wrap around me, but then all I see is black. He covered my eyes with something. "Shhh..." He says. A try to scream even louder but his hand just makes it quiet and muffled. He picks me up off the ground and he runs down the hall with me, because I can hear the door to my room close. He must know where the exit is. Gosh, now is one of the times when I wish I was stronger. He manages to hold me AND cover my mouth with one arm, while he has, which i'm guessing his scepter, in his other hand. He must know where the back exit is. I struggle to get out of his arms, but it's no use, and I can't even see where I am. I hear the opening and closing of a door. Okay this has to be the Emergency steps. Even Tony Stark is smart enough to have these in his tower. They come out at the lobby so hopefully someone is down there. I bite his arm and he grunts. "Rosie stop." He says moving his arm, but it still stays around me. I hear another door open. "ROSI-" The voice gets cut off by a scream and the sound of a loud explosion. The voice was Pepper. We must be in the lobby. I kick my legs as hard as I can trying to escape him, but it doesn't work. A door opens and wind rushes into my face. We're outside the tower. I throw my weight forward, and slip down under his arm. I turn and start to run, aimlessly, just far away from him. He catches me again right away though. "I'm sorry Rosie, you need to stop." Loki says and he whacks my head with his scepter.

{Hazel's point of view}

"He's got a game room, a spa, and I think we've found at least 1 more lab and one more gym." I say. "Why does he even need all this?" Emerson asks walking down the hall beside me. "He doesn't, but he CAN have it, so he wants it." I say and Emerson laughs. Emerson walks through a door and holds it open for me. I walk through, but he sets go of the door too early and it smashes my one good foot. I scream and fall into the ground. "Hazel, I'm so sorry." Emerson says and he kneels down beside me. "It hurts." I say looking down at my foot. "Here." Emerson says and he picks me up in his arms. "I'll take you back downstairs." Emerson says and he ascends down the hallway, back towards the living room, trying to hold me and my crutches. My foot throbs as he walks down the hallway, but with his long strides he's there in no time. "Hey Cl-Mr.Barton. She hurt her foot. Well I hurt her foot. The door closed on it." Emerson says sitting me down on the chair beside my dad. "Do you think it's broken?" My dad asks me bending down in front of me. "No, I-I just think it will bruise." I say. Tony is now in the room, sitting where Rosie was when we left. "Are you okay?" My dad asks. "Yeah, I'm fine." I say. The elevator door dings, and we all look over at the elevator. Pepper stumbles out, clutching her arm. She's covered in dust, and she has a pretty bad cut on her forehead. "Pepper." Tony says running over to support her. "L-Loki. He has Rosie." Pepper says stuttering. I gasp and no one knows what to say. "JARVIS, bring up the feed from the video cameras 24 and 54." Tony says. "Emerson, come on." Chase says and he and Emerson run off in the direction of the lab. "No...." I say quietly. My dad puts his hand on my knee, before he goes over to help get Pepper back to the lab. I bet her arm is broken. "Harper, let's go find everyone else. First we got to go to her room." I say grabbing my crutches and moving quickly to the steps. "Let's go." Harper says with a shocked expression on her face. What if I never see her again....? No we'll get her back. Loki wouldn't hurt her. "Hurry." I say crutching down the hall way. Harper runs in front of me, and opens up Rosie's door. Any clues. Any hints. ANYTHING "She said she was coming up to plug her phone in. Which she did." Harper says pointing to her phone on the bed. I examine the floor. Maybe she dropped something. Maybe he dropped something.

Nothing.

"Gosh NO." I yell. I yell clearly mad, really I just want to cry. I don't know why. When I'm upset I'm just mad. "Let's just go find everyone else." I say. Harper and I go back down the hall, towards the training room. That's where I'm guessing they are. Harper opens the door, and yes they're all in here. "Hey guys!" I say, but I'm not loud enough over the sound of metal clanging.  "HEY I SAID LOOK AT ME." I scream. Everyone suddenly stops and looks up. "Sorry we didn't see y-" Wanda starts to say but I cut her off. "Loki took Rosie. Right here in tower, right in front of us all." I say. So I guess the last part wasn't necessary, but I need some way to vent. "Come on everyone is in the lab." Harper says and we leave the room, with everyone close behind us. "When was he here?" Steve asks. "Less than 5 minutes ago." I say. I just want to cry right now. Loki has to come and take my best friend away from me.  My parents, they're away a lot, but Rosie is always there. Now she's with the man she despises. She's not going to be able to get away from him without us.  We need to help her. We enter the lab. Emerson is over cleaning out Pepper's cut on her forehead. Chase and Tony are watching a video on the screen. Security footage. I crutch over to them and stand between them. Loki is running down the Emergency Exit. Rosie is trying to kick at him, but you can tell she's helpless. I don't want to watch anymore. I move out of the way, and other people gather around Tony and Chase. I go over to Emerson and stand beside him. "How is she?" I ask Emerson. "She's gonna be fine. She had a broken wrist, but other than that, she's fine." Emerson says. I nod me head and I sit up on one of the stools beside the counter. "JARVIS, try to track Loki. Try to track the Tesseract energy waves." Chase says stopping the video and picking up one of the Tables and clicking some things on it. "Mr. Stark, Mr. Stark, I'm tracing for energy signals now." JARVIS says. "Now what?" I ask Tony. He looks at me in the eyes. "Now we wait."
