3.Friends?

*Hye Rin's POV*

There he was! Flashing an intoxicating smile at me, while sticking out his hand for me. I was not able to believe the scenario. My heart was beating at a rate where it would come out at any time. I reached his hand and said, "Hi. My name is Hye Rin. Nice to meet you too." I swear I had turned into a tomato at this moment.

"So, how was your day?" I asked with some confidence. "Nothing great, I just ended with my practice. What about you?" "My day was soo good. And finally I get what I want." 'To finally be able to speak to you!' I say in my mind, the last thing. Minho seemed to be confused on this answer. However, minho brushed the thought of further questioning and started walking with us.

We were walking towards the subway. It was me, minho, song min and taemin. Song min was really an angel to me. She grabbed taemin with her as they were good friends and left me and minho alone.

I could feel the awkwardness between us. So I decided to speak up first. "Minho?" "Y-Yeah?" Minho replied. "Umm...I was thinking... can we be friends?" I asked, with a curious face. I was expecting a no for an answer.But the other part of me wanted an answer where we two could get close to each other. However, I knew he was a mean guy to many people. That was also one of the reasons I hated him. "No." He said. I wasn't expecting much but it pricked me a little. We were walking silently after the short conversation. I was not in a condition to speak up. I was suddenly feeling sad when I heard Minho speak "why do u want to be just friends? Let's be good friends!" Minho was smiling at me.

The burden on my shoulders flew away curling my lips into a sweet smile. This was one of the best days in my life.

*Minho's POV*

Me and Hye Rin were walking together. I could feel that it would be too awkward if we don't speak to each other. But I was also nervous to what I should speak. I've never felt nervous before to speak to a girl. But this time, the feeling was different. "Should I ask her what she likes?" "Should I ask her about her family?" "Should I ask her about herself?" "Should I ask her how she became friends with Song min?"

I was busy thinking about it and a sweet voice hit my ear. It was Hye rin speaking. She was nervous. I could feel it. "Minho?" She questioned. "Y-Yeah" I stuttered thinking as to what she would say. "Umm...I was thinking... can we be friends?" She asked with a curious face. It was kinda cute. WAIT. WHAT!!! Did I just say cute? I maybe out of my mind. But I had to answer her question.

I think she is a great girl. A good personality as well. She was that kind of a girl who every boy would fall for. I didn't just wanted to be her friend. I wanted a great friend like her in my life. So I replied no just to see her reaction. All of a sudden she became sad... and I felt bad. After a moment of processing things in her mind, she turned to me and gave a smile. At that gesture, it made me feel that I should be widening her smile. At that I breathed,"why do u want to be just friends? Let's be good friends!" giving her a reassuring smile. Her lips curled into a smile even wider than the previous one.

*Hye Rin's POV*

I was sooo sooo sooo happy today. I would be finally speaking to the guy whom I liked for more than almost 2 years now. We were speaking about each others likes and dislikes. We were getting to know each other. Happily laughing out and smiling at each other's comments and replies, it felt as if the busy roads were silent and we were the only two. Song min and taemin were engrossed in their own conversation.

I was so into Minho that I was walking blindly without realizing where I was. I was about to take a step and someone grabbed me from behind. It was Minho who grabbed me and pulled me close to him. His right hand was below my neck grabbing my left shoulder as possibly tight as he could. His left hand holding my left hand. I could feel his breath along my neck. It gave chills to my spine. "Hye rin-ah, are you okay? Are you hurt? Where was your mind? What if something would happen to you?" I was bombarded with loads of question from minho. It was then when I realized we were at main road and the signal had just started. If minho would not pull me, I would now be at the hospital with fractures and bruises all over me.
