[COMPLETE] Long Wait Love (Minho Fanfic/SHINee Fanfic)

24. Final wait.

We were heading to the arcade when jimin held my hand. "Rin I want to say something." I looked at him and asked him to continue. "Actually, I don't know how to say it. There's someone who likes you. He thinks you to be cute and he wants me to inctroduce him to you."

His statement made my eye sockets to leave their place and I didn't know what I should be saying in this situation. I  could think of just one thing at that time.
MINHO.

Why is this happening to me? I stood there blank. Jimin tapped my shoulders for a few times and said, "yaa..yaa.. it was just a prank. Stop thinking about it. I just wanted to see your reaction." I started hitting his arm with full force. It bought back all my memories with minho. The first time when he said I like you. "Don't ever do that again." I screamed at him. Taemin came back to us with kai and asked jimin why did I hit him. Jimin explained everything to him and taem turned his sad eyes towards me.

Taem hit jimin's arm and said, "yaa.. don't ever do that to rin." Actually, it wasn't jimin's mistake as such. He wasn't aware of all that happened between me and minho. Kai looked into my eyes as if he was asking me whether he should say it to jimin. I nodded and kai gave me a reassuring smile. "Jimin.. do you know minho hyung?" Kai asked jimin. "Ohh yeah. Who doesn't know him? He is close to taemin right?" He said. Kai nodded and said, "yes. Actually he is rin's ex - boyfriend. They both broke up 6 months ago. It was because of a girl who made rin look bad in front of minho hyung."

Jimin turned to me and procrastinated whether he should ask it or no. You ask me how I figured it out? It was because he had a habit of avoiding eye contact at these times. Hehe.. so cute. "Just ask it already!" I laughed at him. "Um.. umm.. do you still like him?" He asked. Now what should I answer him. My heart ached when I used to think that me and minho weren't together even for a year. "Well.. I don't think I like him. I think I still love him the same. Since the time he's left, even knowing that he's fine makes me happy. Just his existence without me also makes me happy... what more do you wanna know.. now let's go to the arcade, will we?" I put my arm around jimin because he was the only one at my height.

We were going to move forward when my purse fell. I bent down to take it when I saw a pair of shoes behind the tree trunk. The person was trying to hide behind the tree. I suddenly looked up but the person hid himself. Just by the shoes, I knew it was minho. The shoes were the same one which I wore.

*flashback*
It was one of the boring days when me and minho deicided to go to the sea. It was pretty as ever. The sand was dry and the sea waves were soothing. I loved the sound of waves. It made my heart flutter. The breeze was amazing. Minho and me hadn't met each other for a week because of his busy practices. So we decided to meet at the sea which was near minho's tournament venue in busan. I was standing near the sea waves. Looking at the sun, above the sea, it was mesmerising. Someone pushed me into the sea. Luckily I didn't fell in the water but my shoes and jeans were wet.

I turned behind to see minho. "Yaaaa... you're dead. My shoes are all wet. They were the new ones.  유유" I shouted at him. He started laughing when I was pouting at him. Hehe.. made me smile too. He held me from my shoulders and said, "What's such a big deal? You can wear mine. Should I put it on for you?" Minho started removing his shoes. I told him not to do so.. but mingu always does what he wants.

The cutest part was that he removed my wet shoes and put his on. He also tied the shoe's lace as if he was filming a cliche drama. I hugged him while he rested his chin on my forehead.
*end of flashback*

We went to the arcade and had lots of fun. It was a war between me and kai. Jimin and taemin cheered for kai and I really missed kibum and onew at that moment. They would always cheer me. Lastly, kai lost. It was his treat today at the pizza center. It was near our college. I was talking to kai about something when we entered. Taemin and jimin stopped in their tracks. I looked at them and looked at what they were eyeing at. Kai too stopped.

I turned my eyes to the person thinking 'who the hell is it that all the dorks are frozen?' It was minho. Again. Why is he showing up so much in front of me today? "What are you guys doing? Did you people lose your appetite suddenly? Let's get seated." I said and ignored the fact that minho is looking at us. I chose a corner table. It was great. You could see the beautiful view of seoul from the window.

Minho walked to our table and started talking to taemin, "hey taemin, what brings you here?" Taemin looked at me and back at minho and said, "oh..oh.. actually we came from the arcade. It is kai's treat. You too should join us." Minho looked at my direction and said, "n..no.. I don't want to make you people uncomfortable." He was standing right beside where I was seated. He turned to return to his table when I held his hand, "have it with us." I said and released his hand.

I became greedy at that moment. I wanted him to be by my side. Even if it's just eating pizza, I wanted to see him as long as I can. I wanted to feel all those beautiful moments when we were together. Usually,minho is a fast eater but today, he is eating like a snail. Maybe he feels the same way too? 

Jimin, kai and taemin were very uncomfortable sitting with us. "Rin.. are you done eating?" Kai asked me. I had just eaten a slice of pizza and they ask me if I've finished eating? "No! I ate just a slice. Why?" I asked them.. I was a little frustrated. You know.. I get frustrated when I'm hungry and people ask me if I'm done eating. Like... can't you wait?

"Ah...ahh... rin, I suddenly remembered that I have a p.p.t to submit tomorrow. So does kai and.. jimin..jimin.. jimin needs to study. We'll meet you later." Wow.. taemin is actually good at excuses. He found one for jimin too!

"Yaa yaa.. yaa wait for atleast five minutes! I'm almost done." They didn't listen and left me hanging. Don't they have any loyalty towards me. Those punks who betray!

I don't know what should I do in such a situation. Be happy that I'm with minho? Or be sad that I don't know what to say? "Have you been doing well?" Minho asked. I wasn't expecting him to talk. I just nodded in agreement. "You?" I asked. He turned towards me and looked into my eyes. I swear I missed those puppy eyes so much in my life. "No.. the day we broke up, I wasn't the same anymore. When you made me realise that michelle said things which made you slap her, I thought it was correct for you to do. I wanted to apologise to you. I wanted to bring you back. But the guilt was always there, of leaving you for someone who wasn't trustworthy." For the first time minho's eyes were blurred.

I was afraid that he would cry. Please! Please minho don't dare to cry. And then, his tears rolled down his cheeks. I was broken at that moment. I held minho's hand and tried my best to comfort him. "Please please please minho don't cry. It breaks me." My tears too started rolling down. He cupped my face and smiled to himself. "You're still the same pabo. Can you be mine again? I promise to make up with all the time we've lost." Minho asked.

How can I say no? My heart fluttered. Even though it wasn't the first time. I nodded and smiled at him. "Ahh.. right.. I forgot. I'm selected in the national team and I'll be going to the States for Three years." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"What the hell!! We've just got together." I wanted to sob but I was too happy to sob. "Jagiya, I promise this will be your final wait. I'll love you forever." He rested his forehead on mine.
