An hour later, you arrive at the boating docks of a small island. On the way, the five of you actually passed the ship, which shouldn't arrive at the location for another five hours because of the slow speeds. Definitely wouldn't want a repeat of the Titanic.

"Will you be okay?" Ultear asks as Cobra helps you off the speedboat and onto the wooden dock.

"Yes. I assure you we can take care of ourselves," Cobra answers as his arm pulls you toward him.

"Well, if you need anything at all, don't hesitate to contact us," Jellal says, sharing a somewhat understanding nod with Cobra.

"Thank you for your help," you say with a kind smile.

"Anything for the Daiki," Meredy responds.

"Just (Y/N) (L/N). The world may know the name 'Daiki', but I want my friends to always know me as (Y/N), just a normal person."

"Very well. Goodbye, you two. For now," Jellal says as Ultear begins driving the boat in the opposite direction, most likely back to Fiore.

You and Cobra watch until the boat fades in to the distance and is lost among the horizon of the shifting blue waves. You look up and realization dawns that you've finally made it. Enca. The brand new start the both of you have been looking for.

"Are you ready?" you ask.

"Always," Cobra replies with a soft grin.

You both turn around to be greeted with white sand that cascades up a small hill until reaching the streets of a town that resembles more of a village with modern extremities. There are booths of people lining each side and civilians buying their groceries. The place gives off a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Cobra takes your hand in his and leads you into the busy area. You look up and train your eyes on his face because there's something about the way his eyes are sparkling that troubles you.

"You've been here before," you say, coming to the sudden conclusion.

Cobra snaps out of his trance and slowly nods his head, still not meeting your eyes.

"I was born here, but my parents left shortly after. They grew up on this island and I've never had the chance to really explore it. I was taken only a few years after they moved, but now I wonder what it would've been like to live here and have a normal childhood," he reveals.

"Why did they move in the first place? This seems perfect for raising a family," you ponder.

"It's all pretty blurry, but I recall something about seeing the world. I guess this place was too boring for them."

Cobra's demeanor is more sad now than excited. You reach up and turn his face toward yours before laying a tender kiss on his lips.

"I guess we have to form an opinion ourselves now, right? Also, I'm wondering what surprise you were telling me about before," you say in an attempt to steer the conversation.

Cobra's smile is back and he tugs you along. "It's not here exactly. It's about a mile outside of the city."

"We better get going then." You laugh and walk through the streets of Enca while snatching one of those tourist flyers that tell all the cliche information about the legends and attractions, although your stay will be indefinitely.

"It says this is one of two market places on the entire island. The other is on the north side and it's bigger with a hotel and other small businesses for tourists. It seems like the place is cut in half for residents and visitors," you say, reading from the pamphlet.

"Well, our place is on the residents' side, of course. I did my own research before coming here, you know," Cobra replies.

"So, is this place the surprise?" you question.

"Maybe." Cobra's signature smirk graces his lips and you bite your own at the sight.

You tuck the pamphlet in your bag and continue waltzing for five minutes before exiting the town completely. Turning down two different intersections, you find yourself walking down a dirt road in what seems like the middle of nowhere.

"Is this the part where you kill me?" you tease.

"No, but I might just inject you with my venom," Cobra cheekily says.

"Kinky."

You share a laugh before Cobra childishly tells you to close your eyes. You comply reluctantly and he leads you farther down the road until you feel him turning your body toward something.

"Open your eyes," you hear his silky voice command.

Your eyelids fly open and a hand soon covers your mouth. In front of you is a large house made of logs with a white gravel driveway leading its way to the front door. You can see many windows circling the building, letting in a lot of natural lightning and a balcony that wraps around almost the entire place.

"You didn't," you say.

"I did. Since we'll been here a while, I thought it should be in comfort," Cobra replies.

"I love you." The words leave your mouth in a breathless whisper and you turn your face to the man that has stolen your heart.

"I love you too," he says with a tone to his voice that you don't think you've ever heard him use. It's different somehow and you think perhaps he's never said those words in his life.

You loop your arms around Cobra's neck and repeatedly kiss all over his face as he chuckles.

"Show me more," you say, letting go and dragging him toward the house.

The next twenty minutes is spent with Cobra showing you around the place he bought only weeks ago. He told you how the only other time he was on the island it was to buy the house but it's more real now that you're there with him.

"You even got a special room for Cubellios. You thought of everything," you say as he leads you to the master bedroom.

"When we were here, she just stayed in that room the whole time, so I said she could have it."

Cobra walks up the staircase and grabs the door handle before pushing it open to reveal the bedroom you'll be sharing. It's spacious and adorns exactly what you've wanted for years.

You and Cobra toss your bags into the closet, not focused on unpacking at the moment. For now, Cobra stalks over to where you're standing next to the bed and sensually places his hands on your hips before running them around to your back and eventually letting them rest on your ass.

"You know what I want to do now?" Cobra asks with a suggestive eyebrow raise.

You look up innocently and run your hands up and down his chest. "What?"

You feel your body being lifted before you hit the fluffy mattress and Cobra is on top of you with his hair hanging on the sides of his face.

"Break in the new bed."

A/N: So very sorry for the wait, but there is one more chapter before the epilogue. I don't know when I'll get time to write, so thank you for your patience. Love you guys!
